Is it possible to calculate CMGR in Amplitude?

Hello,

So far I have only been able to calculate % growth from first date to last date [(V1 - V0)/V0]. Ideally, it would be more helpful to calculate the compound annual/monthly/weekly growth rate (GMGR) so that I can understand overtime growth in a more comprehensive way. Is it possible?

Thanks in advance!

Hey @jdamatta

Not sure if I can put in a direct formula for this use case, but you can try to leverage the cumulative view in the event segmentation chart and then toggle the “compare to previous time period feature’s” rate change view to understand overall user growth.

Something like this - https://analytics.amplitude.com/demo/chart/new/gckkyou

Hope this helps to some extent.

Hey @jdamatta - if I understand the question correctly, the solution @Saish Redkar suggested will get you on the right path. If you switch the “Comparing to previous year” to a percentage and then navigate to the right side of the chart you can toggle different metrics like overall, average, and last completed value.  To get your desired daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly metrics just adjust as you would any other chart.
