The User Composition analysis feature appears to only take a snapshot in time of a single segment with some characteristics. The lifecycle analysis feature relies on events, which I don’t care about -- I am interested in all users who are of a particular segment, and how much they grow or shrink over several months. How can I get the User Composition analysis to display user characteristics over time?
Hey
The User Composition chart will only show you the aggregate % composition of an user property over a given period of time.
There is also a cohort population over time feature, but I don’t think that’s what you are looking for.
I sometimes use the following chart to see how a property’s composition changes over a period of time
https://analytics.amplitude.com/demo/chart/new/bb2me44 . This approach has its own caveats though given your schema instrumentation.
Let me know if I have interpreted your question correctly. Hope this helps.
