We have been using amplitude analytics service for a while now , overall analytics works perfect for us.
We are facing one issue one of our events created a duplicate entry of properties in analytics which continuously show that we have exceeded the limit of events for our plan. Even though we have deleted the event causing this issue and we are no longer logging it . Please help us to clear this issue.
Is there any help available here if you dont under stand the problem just post in reply
Hey
Are you over the event property limit or your total contracted event volume?
Here’s a Limits FAQ doc which you can refer to.
Hey Rohi,
The only options when it comes to events that exceeded limits are blocking and deleting but keep in mind that:
- If you block an event - it will not count towards your monthly event volume limit but will still count towards the 2000 event type limit.
- If you delete an event, it will not count towards your monthly event volume limit & will not count towards the 2000 event type limit. It's recommended to also update your instrumentation to stop sending the deleted event type.
For more information on blocking/deleting events, please feel free to check out this FAQ.
So if you are at the 2000 limit, you will need to delete events to get under it because just blocking them will not help you to get under the limit.
There’s also a general limit for your Organization that counts how much data you can send to Amplitude (e.g 20m events/month, 50 million events/month, 100 million events/month etc) and this limit can only be raised if you upgrade your plan.
Hope this clarifies!
