Auto Capture is a very prominent feature for the Browser SDK and the Native SDK's i.e. the IOS and the Android SDKs. It allows us to capture the basic [Amplitude] events like Button clicks, Navigation to pages, Pages Viewed, etc. The project that I am currently working on already has a web version on which we use the Browser SDK. For the web project, I am able to see all relevant [Amplitude] events I want to see, and it really helps our team make the best use of user data. The mobile app, on the other hand, is using the latest React Native SDK. I am successfully able to capture all other events and see them show up on the dashboard.
The blocker that I am facing is figuring out how to track [Amplitude] default events, especially since there is no configuration option that allows us to do this for the RN SDK. Is there some configuration option that I am missing, or is there really no way to do this? Could I somehow modify the source code of the library and add this configuration option, maybe I could go through the source code of the IOS and Android SDK's and somehow make it work for RN as well? Or is the only viable option to make custom events for things like Button Clicks and Page Views and track those separately?
Any feedback or help would be appreciated, just really looking for a solution or a nudge in the right direction! I can also answer any further questions regarding this if needed.
NOTE: I have gone through documentation for Auto Capture, RN SDK, RN SDK Maintenance and the IOS/Android SDK's Maintenance. I have also submitted a ticket to the support team in hopes that they might have some feedback but I am waiting on their response.
