Autocapture “Element Clicked” data missing in breakdown

Hi Amplitude team,

We're encountering an unexpected issue with Autocapture data.

Issue

The event Element Clicked appears correctly in Data → Events → View All.
The 14-day trend shows daily data recorded as expected.

However, when we go to Event Segmentation → Breakdown by "Element Text", all historical data for Element Clicked disappears. Only yesterday’s and today’s data show up under any Element Text category.

What we did

1. Enabled Autocapture and verified events are received daily.
2. Opened Event Segmentation, selected event: Element Clicked.
3. Added breakdown: Element Text.
4. Expected: historical Element Clicked events should distribute across Element Text values.
5. Observed:
   • No Element Text categories show any data prior to yesterday.
   • Yesterday & today display normally.

What we need help with

Could you help us understand:

1. Root cause — Why does Element Text only appear for the past 1–2 days?
2. How to fix / recover historical breakdown data
3. How to prevent this from happening again

We would really appreciate your guidance on diagnosing this issue and the steps needed to restore accurate breakdown data.
