Say I need to add a new “global” event property in an Amplitude project containing 500 event types. Currently this concept doesn’t exist, so to achieve this I have to go into each event type one by one and add the new event property….this is a NIGHTMARE! Would be great to have something in the Data UI that would allow for this (i.e. pick a bunch of events and tell the UI to add a given property to those selected).
Similarly, in the GTM template tag the same headache exists...I have to add the new event prop to every tag individually as there is no concept of “global” (i.e., something akin to the “settings” variable in Google Analytics tags).
P.S. Regarding the latter, I’ve recently been made aware of property groups which would be a help...but only if they’d been configured from the offset. To use property groups now I would still have to go into each event type one by one and add the group.
