Can not interconnect user from web with user from mobile using the same event/user property, when creating a funnel

Hello, dear Community!What I’m trying to do is:I’m sending an event from web (when user opens download link) with property “web_pairing_user_id”, while setting user property “web_pairing_user_id” with the same value When user installs the app and accepts this particular invite, I set the same “web_pairing_user_id” to user properties of a user plus sending it with the “invite accepted” event Then I create a funnel with web and mobile events going one after another, picking “Holding property constant” (selecting “web_pairing_user_id” here, I’ve tried both event and user property) As I understand, Amplitude should match users with the same value in this property and build a correct funnel, but this doesn’t work :(I’ve checked both events that were sent today and they both have this event property with the same value. Maybe there is another way to somehow create such funnel?Looking forward to your help 😓Attaching some screenshots.

Automate the 'Refresh All' in Amplitude Link to Sheets Add-on

I am using the following add-on to export chart data directly to my linked google sheet. https://workspace.google.com/u/0/marketplace/app/amplitude_sync_to_drive_and_sheets/998012258772The extension gives a interface that requires the user to ‘Refresh All’ charts data manually.Can someone help me with a way to automate the ‘Refresh All’ button such that is syncs data after a set period of time? I was looking into ways to write a script in google sheets app script but couldn’t find a way. Screenshot of Amplitude Add-on

Unable to stream events from Amplitude to Customer.io (no error messages but also no events)

Trying to send a few events from Amplitude to CIO   Would have expected to see these events in the CIO Activity log but not seeing any (though bottom screenshot confirms that test events are being sent from Amplitude → CIO)   Can confirm that Amplitude is receiving the events because I see them in the console

How are user properties applied in retention reports?

(1) Is there any way to apply retention analysis to user properties retro actively?Example: we just introduced a form to track the users “hair color”, and i would like to do a retention analysis and group by the user property hair color, but also for the time before we introduced this property (which would be an assumption that whatever hair color the user has today, they had it from the very beginning)(2) What if the hair color of a user changes over time, how would he be included in the retention analysis? E.g. he had “hair color” = “black” in the first 3 months of his lifetime, but then changed to “blonde”?

Amplitude suddenly returning ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED to all track attempts

Last Monday 4th of March, in the middle of the day, Amplitude suddenly stopped receiving events from our iPhone and Android apps. The web integration continues working as normal. See the “logged in” event below for example. Android (blue) and iPhone (purple) suddenly go to 0 at 4pm UTC-3, while Windows (i.e. web) remains normal. Other events show the same pattern. When I log what is happening in my own Android phone, I see a `POST https://api.amplitude.com/ net::ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED` error: We made no changes on our end anywhere near that time. What could cause this and how can I fix it?

Company ID not pulled in via Dashboard API

Hi, this question may be similar to this one:I am pulling in data via Dashboard API. I had success but when I tried to Group By the Company ID the resulting output is not bringing in this ID. It is bringing in the data but not the ID?This is an example of the parameters used. Any help is appreciated

When will the deprecated HTTP API v1 stop working?

I understand that the HTTP API v1 has been deprecated and that we should eventually upgrade to the HTTP API v2. However, the HTTP API v1 is still functional. When will Amplitude be shutting down HTTP API v1? Or will it continue to function indefinitely?

I updated user properties using the Amazon S3 as an offlineevent. Why are there still “none” values in my charts?

I found this FAQ and this question is almost the same as I am facing now.  I updated user properties using the Identify API. Why are there still “none” values in my charts?https://help.amplitude.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052385792-FAQ-Modify-or-delete-historical-data I cannot understand the definition of  “another event” because the target users in my Amplitude account have done some “Events” after uploading the newest UP data from S3 by checking the UserStream charts. Using the Identify API only updates user property values for future events. Data that Amplitude has already ingested cannot be changed. The user will have to fire another event in order for Amplitude to apply the updated property value. Does anyone have specifics of what changed in the March SDK template update? I see the wrapper changed but am looking for more specifics.Also with cookie deprecation is there concern for breakage on the Initialize tag.Thanks

Okta certificate revokation

I am using Okta for SAML sign-on. I need to change the default self-signed certificate of Okta and use a certificate signed by third party. I need this because I need to revoke Okta certificate and check the OCSP flow in my server and check whether Okta authentication is rejected. Is this supported in Okta? please help

Hello, I’m new to Amplitude.My company is about to start using Amplitude Analytics for our website (online shop).So the question is, How long (how many man-hours) does it take to set up Amplitude Analytics?Can we estimate how many man-hours it’s going to take to set up front-end and back-end?I’m asking because we don’t have front-end developers in our team, is this going to be a problem?Thanks!

Identify event not setting user properties on amplitude from react native

I am using ‘@amplitude/analytics-react-native’ library ( Version 1.4.7 ) inside react native mobile app ( Version 0.71 ) and other events like track is working and going to amplitude.But facing issue with identify event to send user properties on amplitude and below is the code that I am using to set user properties on amplitude. Import S3 not working

Hello,I encountered an issue in adding additional data source from S3.the error I get:   for context I have another source from the same bucket that is currently working. When I looked into the source of the problem I took a look at amplitude’s docs:amplitude docs - S3 import guideIn the policy that is there it seems that the S3 integration need the following: s3:ListObjects but s3:ListObjects is deprecated, the error from the policy editor in AWS: I would like to know if this is the cause of the problem? could it be on amplitude’s end?the currently running source is working fine. Thanks for any help in advance!

BigQuery export missing permission

Hello,I am trying to export data from Amplitude to BigQuery and I have set up all permissions accordingly following the documentation: https://www.docs.developers.amplitude.com/data/destinations/bigquery/The problem is I keep getting an error about permissions which are not contained in the documentation mentioned, please see an example-error below: ```Access Denied: Project hermes-344213: User does not have bigquery.jobs.create permission in project hermes-344213.``` The following permissions were asked already I have given them all bigquery.datasets.delete bigquery.datasets.update bigquery.jobs.create bigquery.transfers.get bigquery.transfers.updateCould someone help me out with this one?Thanks

Ampli npm package dependent on a Sentry version from 2 years ago

The Ampli SDK npm package uses Sentry to report errors to the Amplitude team. It’s set up to use v6 of Sentry’s packages. Those are 2 years old at this point and it creates dependency conflicts for Amplitude customers who also use Sentry. Would it be possible to have the team update ampli to depend on Sentry’s v7 packages (especially types)?

Is there a recommendation of what Identity Store (cookie vs local storage) to use?

In the Browser 2.0 SDK it says this:identityStorage string. Sets storage API for user identity. Options include cookie for document.cookie, localStorage for localStorage, or none to opt-out of persisting user identity.  By default this is “cookie” but is there an advantage to use localStorage?  When should we use this option? I realize there must be legacy browser issues, but that would have to be super old browsers that don’t support localStorage so trying to figure out the gotchas here. The docs do not give any guidance on this.

Double counting pageviews when running VWO Redirect AB Test

I am running into an issue where when I run a 50/50 split redirect test using VWO Amplitude is firing two pageview tags - one for the control and the other for the variant essentially double-counting pageviews. How can I best setup our VWO integration to avoid this behavior? Or, is there a way to filter out the double counting on the backend.
