Enjoy new updates to Session Replay

Session Replay just keeps getting better! The latest updates help users set up and going faster with Session Replay.

  • Updated SDK: The latest version of our SDK improves the consistency of synchronizing state between Browser SDK and the Session Replay plugin. This update also eliminates the need for Session Start/End events while using the Session Replay plugin, and offers a debug mode to help with debugging local development.

  • Persisted filtering: In March we also introduced persisted filtering to the Session Replay search page. This update means all time ranges and other filters will now reflect in the URL, making it easy for users to share their filtered Session Replay searches with others. No more guesswork, just easy-to-use links with persisted filtering search parameters.

Exclude current period with Date Picker 1oBqWTuJpG_wk9rHGim-YnbqF2UKr1nCY-X_7ihZ-Hrcon81lr_p2fmHZhDvEiv2Prmn2YhbLXsxNu3MfH4_GrbbPs0le71BPxVese5WWmFehmUp0L64rSjNTocZhSm2Su-ZOUIPJv5hCofBfxVfdRQThis month we updated the date picker so that when you select "Last 7 days" within charts and dashboards, it actually displays the last 7 days. This update improves clarity and flexibility of datepicker range selections, and instills trust with users who no longer have to worry about reporting discrepancies due to the date picker’s previous inclusion of partial periods.

New Data releases

Get trusted data to power insight about your product. Amplitude helps you proactively manage and govern your data.

Snowflake Change Data Capture

Snowflake users rejoice! We’ve excited to share with you a simple, reliable and cost-effective import strategy to sync Snowflake data into Amplitude. Change Data Capture is the new data warehouse import methodology that tracks exact changes made to tables within tables in the data warehouse. This will continue to ensure parity with your organization’s source of truth in the data warehouse.  Learn how to import your data in Snowflake here.

🔓Access this feature when you set up Snowflake as a source in the Catalog.

Work faster with new and improved Property Dropdowns

This month, event and property dropdowns across Amplitude got a serious makeover and are now easier to use than ever before. UX Improvements include:

  • Collapsible grouping: Properties are now grouped into collapsible sections, making them easier to browse. If you have several tests, look out for the section on experiment properties!
  • Group type display: For users with multiple property types of the same name, Amplitude now displays the group type so each property type is distinguishable from the others.
  • Improved search: Our search function now supports display and ingested names, making finding what you're looking for easier.
  • One-click copy: You can copy selected property values with one click and paste them into another segment or filter, saving you time and clicks.
  • Language updates: We've improved input and search for Chinese and Japanese characters.

⭐️ Availability: Users with typescript SDK  2.5.2 (or later) and default event tracking enabled
🔓 Access this feature wherever you can select Properties and Property Values in Amplitude.

Derived and Transformed Properties now supported within Computations, Recommendations, and Predictions

Previously when events were sent to Amplitude, the ingestion data could have three properties: user property, event property, and group property.

Now, Amplitude provides more ways to calculate additional properties after the ingestion. Specifically for user property and event property, users can now create derived properties and transformed properties.

All three features of CDP – including computations, predictions and recommendations – allow organizations to choose some user/event property to generate results, and use derived and transformed properties in their advanced personalization use cases.

⭐️ Availability: L2/Models/CDP Enterprise for Recommendations and Predictions, CDP Growth/Enterprise for Computations
(Note: Not available in EUDC.)

🔓Access this feature from the property menu, and then build a new Computation, Recommendation, or Prediction in the "Audience" area of Amplitude.

Find errors with Cohort sync visibility [Beta]

We are excited to announce some new tools to help customers investigate and diagnose cohort sync discrepancies in a self-serve manner. Amplitude now provides customers with:

  •  An upgraded cohort sync history page displaying skipped users
  •  The ability to inspect exported cohorts via CSV download export a CSV to down
  •  Proactive warnings for any changes to user identifier mapping that could affect existing cohort syncs

Conduct Landing Page Analysis with Browser SDK Enhancements [Beta]

Push flag configuration changes in real time with updated NodeJS SDK

Engineering teams listen up – you can now build kill switches in Amplitude! This powerful feature enables teams to push flag configuration changes as they happen rather than continuously polling for changes or waiting for up-to-date servers. This means you can instantly update your flag to stop or modify a flag or experiment.

Though this feature is only available for our NodeJS SDK today, we will be making this powerful capability available across all of our SDKs in the near future.

⭐️ Availability: This feature is available to all customers with the NodeJS SDK
🔓Access this feature by opting in to the 'streamUpdate' configuration

Choose granular time stamps in Experiment

Ready for maximum control over your timestamps? With our latest update, teams no longer have to worry about their analysis changing after a decision has been made. Lifecycle actions such as starting an experiment or making a decision will either default to the current timestamp or simply use the current timestamp behind the scenes.

These updates will show up across event segmentation, funnels, and experiment results charts.

🔓Enable and access this feature through the advanced settings dropdown in the calendar.

You’re all caught up! Here’s what’s next…

⭐️ Nicely done!

>>Let us know which update you’ve been waiting for in the comments.

Would be cool if when you tap on a data point in a Segmentation chart and then “View User Streams” if you could find the charted filtered event in the stream.
