We had previously had the UID anonymized in our amplitude- android integration. But now we have integrated a connection with our Database UID's . So that when a user signs up - it is the same UID on amplitude as our internal Database.
We are trying to retroactively find a way to get the UID's that were anonymized mapped to the proper UID in the Database. Does anyone have any guidance on how we can retroactively De-Anonymize the UID’s and get them to match the propper UID in the database for each user?
Looks like you are trying to retroactively merge user IDs based on new values?
If that’s the case, then User IDs cannot be merged. If you create/update a new user ID for an existing user, Amplitude will recognize them as different unique users.
