Question

Mark event as passive

Hi, I have a “logged in” event. For some clients this is a very active action. For some, there is an auto login in the background, making this a passive action.

Is there a way to mark the event as passive in the client or have two versions of the event without creating another event? I would not like to have 2 different logged in events.

Thanks a lot!

Hi Kornelius,

This is Yuanyuan from the Amplitude Support team - happy to assist!

I understand you have one “logged in” event and you want to mark the activity status based on the source of the event. This is not possible at the moment as the activity status will apply to the entire event with considering the properties.

For your analysis, you could create a custom event for client-side login and another custom event for server-side login based on the 'Library' property. But you will not be able to mark custom events as 'active/inactive'.

Best,
Yuanyuan
