Hi all! With the google and facebook ads integration that Amplitude offers, do I have to run this manually or will the clicks/impressions etc be sent repeatedly/every day? I’m reading the documentation and it looks like its just a historic import?

Hey @freelancer52

If the data is transmitted through parameters like UTM captured in the URL (such as utm_id or utm_campaign), then it is possible. However, if you are using the auto-tagging feature where the campaign's metadata is associated with a unique identifier called GCLID, which is directly linked to Google Analytics, you can pass the information through an event property.

You can watch the video at the end of this post explaining how this works in Amplitude. Additionally, you can refer to this other post that specifically discusses Google Ads.

Please note that integrating Google Ads and Facebook Ads is currently a closed beta feature available only for paid plans.

Hope it helps! :)
