New Analytics releases

Get clearer insights into what drives customer behavior. Amplitude Analytics gives you self-serve access to critical insights across the full customer journey.

Customize data visualization with chart color themes

Good news! Users can now make their own personal color themes (regardless of role), and use them on a per-chart basis. With this latest update, you can make copies of other peoples themes, while Admins can define a default color palette to apply to all charts. This update helps you apply exact themes to specific charts, and customize them for the data that you wish to visualize.

Bonus points? When other users open your charts, they’ll see your color palette, and these chart colors will follow to any dashboards they are put on.

🔓 Access this feature via the 'More' dropdown at the top right of the controls.
⭐️ Availability: This feature is available to Enterprise customers.

Product Analytics in Amplitude is the one-stop shop for key metrics on product health, onboarding, feature engagement, and retention. This easy-to-use tool helps Product teams get started on critical analysis without building any reporting from scratch!

The latest updates include:

  • Custom Metrics on Product Overview: Users can now add and display additional metrics directly on the Product overview page, enabling deeper insights with tailored needs.

  • Enhanced Permissions Management: Growth and Enterprise admins now have the ability to define who can update default view settings.

  • Simplified Feature Creation: We've streamlined the process of creating features on the Feature Engagement page by adding a new modal. This allows users to create features without the need to navigate back and forth between settings.

🔓 Access this feature via the Amp Easy side navigation.
⭐️ Availability: This feature is available to all customers.

‘Compare to Past’ for retention chart type is now generally available

You asked and we listened! This month, we're excited to announce that ‘Compare to Past’ is now included as part of Retention charts. Users can now create a retention metric and compare that metric across different time periods to better understand changing trends over time.

🔓 Access: Create a Retention chart > Click a Retention metric that makes sense to compare across time periods > Click Compare button at the top. (Note: This feature is disabled on ‘Return On or After’.)
⭐️ Availability: This feature is available to all customers.

New Session Replay releases

Reconstruct digital experiences to see how your customers unlock value. Use Session Replay combined with best-in-class analytics to make better decisions that drive growth.

With our latest update, users can now navigate to the Individual Player page with event sync from User Streams and User Lookup.

Previously when watching a replay from User Streams or User Lookup, there was no way to get to the player page with the event stream synced unless you found the same replay on the Session Replay home page. Now users can link to the player page directly!

🔓 Access this feature via the User streams modal, Event Stream on User Profiles
