New Data releases

Smarter governance powered by AI

Get trusted data to power insight about your product. Amplitude Data helps you proactively manage and govern your data.

Improve data quality with AI-assisted governance

Empower more users from across your organization to participate in collaborative governance and improve data quality. Here are the AI-powered updates we’ve made in the past month.

Automatically detect names that don’t align with your taxonomy and get intelligent suggestions to standardize them in a few quick clicks.

Determine the owners of your events with suggestions based on usage in charts, cohorts, and custom events, as well as usage patterns on similar events.

We're just getting started using the power of AI to improve data quality. Stay tuned for more!

BigQuery import is now generally available

Now all users can ingest BigQuery data directly into Amplitude projects. This includes event, user property, and group property data support.

Access these integrations from the Catalog within Data Connections.

Experience more efficient data editing workflows

Edit data faster by making changes directly in the event and property tables for your categories, activity, and visibility. You can also make quick description edits in Analytics, with more editing capabilities coming soon.

Plus, new Purpose-Built Views provide a custom perspective into each job to be done in the tracking plan tables. Each view highlights essential information and actions while limiting the columns and filters to what’s most relevant.

Get an overview of customer data with new partner integrations

New partner integrations with Blitzllama and Zeda.io give you a more comprehensive view of your customer data. Here’s how:

  • With Blitzllama, teams can collect and analyze feedback from in-product surveys, usability tests, and more. You can now ingest events and sync cohorts from Amplitude to Blitzllama.
  • With Zeda.io, product leaders can leverage AI to identify customer problems, decide what to build, and create better product strategies. You can now sync cohorts from Aplitude to Zeda.io.

These partner integrations are not available in the EU Data Center at this time. Cohort syncs are available to paid customers only.

Access these integrations from the Catalog within Data Connections.

HubSpot Event streaming integration is now in open beta

Amplitude CDP's HubSpot streaming integration enables you to forward your Amplitude events and event properties straight to HubSpot with just a few clicks.

Set up faster with improved SDK documentation

We've created detailed examples of how you can use a Destination Plugin to send events to Hotjar, Fullstory, and Google Tag Manager. Check them out here.

Better understand how your users leverage Amplitude

More effectively drive adoption with insights from downloadable advanced usage reports.

Streamline Behavioral Cohort creation with out-of-the-box templates

Begin your cohort creation journey effortlessly. You can now choose from a range of predefined templates, modify an existing cohort definition, or start from scratch or a CSV upload. Clicking on a template, like "Engagement Behavior," offers clear instructions and a valuable starting point, which is especially beneficial for folks new to Amplitude.

Access this feature in the Cohort creation experience.

New Analytics releases

New insights, better user experience

Get clearer insights into what drives customer behavior. Amplitude Analytics gives you self-serve access to helpful information across the customer journey.

Track retention rate over time–without manual analysis

Analyze your retention rate based on the date a user performed a starting event, so you can easily track it over time.

Previously, retention charts only graphed the overall retention rate. You’d need to export data from Amplitude and manually analyze it elsewhere to track relative performance over time. Now you can access these insights out of the box.

Access this feature in the Retention Analysis chart experience.

Capture new customer behavior insights with Event Historical Count

This new event property lets you capture the nth instance of a customer performing an action. While it works similarly to the existing Historical Count filter, there’s a key difference. Historical Count is applied after all other filters.

For example, if you want to understand user conversion from various first landing pages to purchase, Event Historical Count ensures that it's the first event in their user journey. The new Event Historical Count filter is applied first before any other filters.

Access this feature in an Event Segmentation chart by filtering on Amplitude Event Properties and selecting Historical Event Count.

Build out dashboards more easily

Two updates make it easier than ever to add content to dashboards:

  • Select “Add Content” or “Start with a Template” when creating a new dashboard to avoid building from a blank page. (Looking for the old options to add charts, cohorts, and text? We’ve moved these to the “Add Content” toolbar.)

  • Add content to the middle of an existing dashboard. Simply hover between two cells and click the “+” button. We heard that users appreciate this experience in Notebooks, so we’ve brought it to dashboards, too.

Access these features in the Dashboard experience.

Save charts in fewer steps

We’ve simplified the flow for saving charts so you get the benefits of making your work more discoverable at your organization. Saved charts are organized alongside relevant insights in Spaces, aggregated into monitoring dashboards and notebooks for storytelling, and searchable by future users looking to kickstart their analysis.

Customize how currency is displayed in charts

You can now select a locale for formatting currency amounts in charts. This choice informs both the currency symbol and locale-specific formatting at the project level. For example, if you select Italy as a locale, 123,456,789.01 will be displayed as “123.456.789,01 €” in your project.

Note: This update does not handle currency conversions.

Access the local to customize how currency is displayed at the project level in Organization Settings.

Learn how to change the currency unit for your project.

Enjoy an updated search experience

We saw an opportunity to refresh our search experience to make it more modern, consistent, and easy to use. So we overhauled the experience with roomier spacing, updated icons, and reorganized panels. Let us know what you think in the comments.

Access updated search across the platform by opening “Advanced Search” in the new navigation or adding a chart to a Dashboard or Notebook.
