New Analytics releases
Get clearer insights into what drives customer behavior. Amplitude Analytics gives you self-serve access to critical insights across the full customer journey.
Enjoy new updates to Session Replay
Our latest Session Replay updates help users better manage how they ingest and monitor session replays in Amplitude. New features include:
Ingestion Monitor page
Our new Ingestion Monitor page tracks Session Replay status over time. The charts displayed on the page show the count of the following statuses over whatever time range the user selects:
- Successful requests
- Throttling errors
- Quota exceeded errors
- Invalid session IDs
🔓 Access this feature from the "manage" icon in the top-right of the Session Replay section of your project’s Users & Sessions tab.
Updated error messages
Additionally, we’ve clarified the Session Replay error messages that users see when viewing a session replay that has a problem. This feature helps users debug issues with their Session Replay implementation and provides extra clarity when encountering replay errors.
New usage Card for admins
Finally, we've also added a Session Replay Usage card into the Admin Billing Page. Customers can now view their quota, retention timeframe, total usage, and monthly breakdown. This update provides a centralized way for Admins to easily view Session Replay Usage.
⭐️ Availability: Session Replay is available to try on all our new plans as of 2/7/2024 (including our Starter and Plus updates from Oct ‘23 ). Existing Growth and Enterprise customers can also access Session Replay as an add-on purchase. Reach out to your account manager with questions.

New Prefix Operators for Charts
Ready for even more accurate chart results? This month, we added two new operators to our filters within Amplitude: the ‘starts with’ operator and the ‘does not start with’ operator.
Before this change, users with hierarchical names who wanted to match event properties by prefix had to use the ‘contains’ operator. This action unnecessarily checked substrings in the middle of a string, which could potentially lead to inaccurate results.
The new ‘starts with’ and ‘does not start with’ operators eliminate this issue, delivering you more accurate chart results faster than ever.

New Data releases
Get trusted data to power insight about your product. Amplitude helps you proactively manage and govern your data.
Read branch summaries faster with revamped UI
This month, we’re excited to announce that changes made in a Data branch are now summarized, grouped by entity, filterable, and searchable! No more scrolling through pages of individual change logs to understand the branch or find a specific change – just an intuitive, new and improved, UI.

Customize Notifications for Data Warehouse Sources and Destinations
Ready to take control of notifications? Users can now subscribe and unsubscribe from notifications for individual warehouse sources and destinations, as well as manage who should receive alerts.
Within the UI, notifications can be configured to send to individuals, groups, and Slack – no longer limiting notification to the person who created the source or destination.
🔓 Access this feature from the manage page for all data warehouse sources and destinations (except Amazon S3 ingestion, which will be added at a later date.)
Export raw events and merged user IDs to Azure Blob Storage fBeta]
Good news! Amplitude now supports the export of event data and merged user data directly into Azure Blob Storage containers. This update allows for seamless management and automated data syncs to Azure, which should empower users to streamline their workflows, reduce manual data handling, and improve data governance.
Bonus points? The new export capabilities also enable users to leverage their raw events and merged user IDs within Azure’s ecosystem for advanced analytics, machine learning, and data warehousing.
🔓 Access this feature by navigating to the Data section in Amplitude, selecting ‘Destinations’, and then choosing ‘Azure Blob Storage’ as the destination.

Filter raw events for all data warehouse and cloud storage destinations
In February, we enabled users to filter raw events before exporting them to their Data Warehouse or Cloud Storage destinations. This feature alleviates the pain of managing and analyzing large volumes of unstructured data, while also:
- Improving speed and flexibility in data handling
- Enabling deeper insights by focusing on relevant data
- and promoting scalability by efficiently managing data exports.
Gone are the days of exporting all of your data before applying filters. Now, you can simply filter before exporting to your desired destination.
🔓 Access this feature within the export destination management interface or during new destination setup flow.
Try Amplitude with one-click Mixpanel migration tool
Mixpanel users, this one’s for you. With our new Mixpanel Data Source page, you can now import historical Mixpanel events into Amplitude with the click of a button.
Simply enter the Mixpanel API Key, select a date range, hit import, and events will begin importing instantly. This new tool allows Mixpanel users to easily test out Amplitude using familiar taxonomies – no technical skills required!
🔓 Access this feature from the Mixpanel Data Source Page, or as one of the featured sources within onboarding.

Enjoy User Forward Filtering
This month, we’re thrilled to announce an update to our User Forwarding feature for event streaming destinations. The latest change ensures that a partner’s API is called only when a user property selected for forwarding is modified – reducing unnecessary data forwarding and any related costs.
🔓 Access this feature within the Amplitude Data Catalog.
New Experiment releases
Drive faster action from crystal clear test results. Amplitude Experiment helps you test, analyze, and optimize your product experiences at scale.
Start testing faster with a simplified Experiment UX
All customers now have a new guided user experience to design, analyze, and roll out new experiments.
In our new UX, users can opt-in to a radically simple, wizard-like experience which makes it easy to understand each step of the experimentation process and adheres to best practices.
These updates ensure teams can run more experiments successfully, get faster time to value, and with fewer implementation errors.

Experiment Cohort Targeting in Testing
Testing in Amplitude just got easier! Previously, teams would have to add each QA member individually within the targeting and allocation section of Experiment. Now, we’ve simplified this process by allowing you to specify an entire team or cohort for QA purposes.
🔓 Access this feature in the testers’ section of Amplitude.
Fetch All Flags and Experiments Versions Using Management API
This month, we added powerful functionality to our Management API, making it easier to understand changes across every feature flag and experiment – all in one place.
Now, users can query the Management API to list all versions of flags and experiments across projects, including pagination and filtering by start and end time.
So whether you’re looking to retrieve a list of changes for debugging purposes, or to evaluate what flag updates could have caused an incident, the Management API is officially here to help.
