New Analytics releases
Streamline workflows with new templates, AI
Get clearer insights into what drives customer behavior. Amplitude Analytics gives you self-serve access to helpful information across the customer journey.
Enjoy new updates to the Starter Template Gallery
Starter templates are getting a facelift! This month, we’re introducing an up-leveled dashboard template gallery where users can find our new and improved starter templates, as well as their org-created templates.
The new version introduces:
- The ability to see and filter templates by sections (ie: use-case vs. industry vs. user-created)
- User-friendly illustrations for Amplitude-generated content
- Search functionality for all templates, which should add even more value as the template gallery grows
Finally, we’re also introducing a toggle that automatically populates the starter template with demo data, so users can preview what the template looks like filled out.
All Amplitude users can access Starter Templates in the Template Gallery.
Unlock qualitative insights with Session Replay oEarly Access Program]
Ready to connect quantitative data with qualitative insights? Session Replay brings digital journeys to life to help teams identify issues, improve conversion, and build better product experiences for customers.
The visualized sessions are based on actual events in your product and tied to the moments you want to learn more about. By seeing how customers are using your products and where they are getting stuck, Session Replay ensures teams have the real-time experiential insights they need to make faster decisions more confidently.
Session Replay, launching in private preview this month, will be available soon for Amplitude customers. Sign up for the waitlist to indicate your interest in joining our Early Access Program.
Auto-generate Chart names with AI
What’s in a name? With our new, AI-assisted Chart-naming capabilities, you can immediately improve your team’s analytics workflow. Proper nomenclature provides context, improves search results, and helps users interpret the content of your chart. This feature helps you automatically generate titles that are descriptive, searchable, and can be accepted with just a single click
Access AI Chart-naming within Amplitude Charts.
Deep dive into performance with Industry Benchmarks
Ready to slice and dice your data? Our latest release allows you to explore product data benchmarks across industries, regions, and company size so you can better understand the relative performance of your key product indicators, like activation, engagement, and retention.
Industry benchmarks further help you collect, anonymize, and report these findings using performance and engagement data across relevant industry verticals and geographies from more than 2,300 organizations. (Note: We don’t include data from customers who have opted out from this benchmarking.)

New Data releases
Share more data with new integrations, cohort functionality
Get trusted data to power insight about your product. Amplitude Data helps you proactively manage and govern your data.
New partner integrations available tBeta]
Another month, another batch of Partner integrations! In August, we announced seven new partner tools for customers leveraging our platform for both event streaming and cohorts:
- New event streaming for: Moloco RMP, MovableInk, Plotline, CleverTap, Pushwoosh, Kochava
- New cohort syncs for: WebEngage
Data users can view all integrations in the Amplitude development center.
Forward more data with our Cohort Sync Webhook rBeta]
Our new Webhook for Cohort syncs allows users to forward Cohort data to destinations that Amplitude doesn’t currently support. In addition, you can also choose an intermediary layer, such as a Lambda function (a serverless computing service provided by Amazon Web Services), to receive the Webhook data and pass it along to a separate API or tool. This provides even more flexibility and customization options for businesses that want to use cohort data in their own unique way.
This Webhook is not available in the EU Data Center at this time.

Quickstart analysis with Out-of-the-box Cohorts hBeta]
Amplitude has also introduced out of the box Behavioral Cohorts to help teams get faster insights without the hassle. These pre-configured cohorts are available from the moment you access the platform and eliminate the need for complex setups or specialized knowledge about your organization’s taxonomy.
These cohorts include new users, retained users, active users, iOS and Android users, users by UTM source, and more. Get ready to seamlessly take data-driven insights and turn them into actions that help your teams acquire, retain and monetize more users.

Detect data quality anomalies with Data Assistant
We've introduced new suggestions in Data Assistant that monitor and identify significant shifts in event volume. Data teams can proactively investigate events that could indicate data quality issues (like an event breaking or misfiring) before analytics users find them in charts.
Access this feature within Data Assistant.
GTM Client-Side template is now on Browser 2.0
We’re thrilled to announce the upgrade of our GTM client-side template. Amplitude now leverages Browser 2.0 to optimize support, simplify configuration interfaces, and support exciting features such as default events tracking and more.
Access this feature from the Developer Portal.

New Experiment releases
Improved flexibility, data hygiene, security
Drive faster action from crystal clear test results. Amplitude Experiment helps you test, analyze, and optimize your product experiences at scale.
Empower users, improve safety with Experiment Permissions eBeta]
Developers need granular control over every feature flag to ensure they safely deliver great experiences to every user. With our latest release, Amplitude allows you to grant individual permission to users so they can create flags, edit existing flags, or view-only if they’re less technically proficient.
Access this feature through the Members & Groups section in Organization Settings. Simply designate each role for each user and you’ll be on your way!

A New, Seamless workflow to Restart Experiments lBeta]
When it comes to experimentation, things don’t always go as planned. You may run into instrumentation problems, incorrect configuration, or data quality issues that can slow you down. With our latest release, developers get the guidance they need to identify these issues proactively and start fresh, without losing precious testing time.
By restarting an experiment, you can exclude any previous user data from the monitoring and analysis of your restarted experiment. This feature helps you mitigate issues in real time, and keeps your programs moving forward with an enhanced workflow.

Enjoy more flexibility with Client-side Local Eval Beta]
Developers need more flexibility when implementing feature flags across their stack. With client-side local evaluation, you can now deliver high-performance flags across all of your tools. Client-side Local Eval is currently available for JavaScript, with Android and iOS coming soon!

Experiment Management API is now generally available.
Our Management API is now officially GA! Check out our updated documentation to scale your experimentation programs by programmatically creating and controlling flags and experiments.
