Get deeper insights with session analyses updates
This April we updated our User Sessions chart to support more in-depth session-based analyses. Amplitude users are now able to:
- Filter by first property value, last property value, and session duration
- Use formulas to calculate metrics like bounce rate, entry/exit rates, and unique users
- Group by sessions after events are grouped together as a session (“sessionized”)
- View data at hourly and quarterly intervals

With these updates, users can perform more detailed session-based analyses, utilizing the enhanced features for more powerful insights tailored to their taxonomies within the new User Sessions chart.

Create session-based cohorts
In this latest release, you can now build and return a list of users in a cohort for sessions filtered by duration, containing an event, first property value, or last property value. Bonus points? Syncing this cohort of users downstream to other connected tools is fully supported.

Create custom session metrics
In addition to session-based cohorts, we’ve also added customization of session metrics and updated our existing out-of-the-box session metrics to use our SDK’s Default Page Viewed event (learn more). With these updates, users are able to create custom session metrics to fit their taxonomies and recreate them in the new User Sessions chart. We are rolling this update out to 100% of users over the next week!

Session Replay just keeps getting better! This month, we’re helping you and your team filter and share Replays with ease.
Share session replays with new copy link
Ready to share individual session replays with your team? When viewing Session Replays in charts, users now have access to a ‘Copy Link’ button that selects the url of a given session and links to the standalone Session Replay page. This feature helps you easily share replays while exploring user and event streams.
🔓 Access this feature within Event Seg, Funnel, User Sessions, and Journeys Charts
Availability: This feature is available to all customers with access to Session Replay
Filter Replays by session duration
We’ve added a session duration filter on the search page that allows users to filter replays based on length. This feature helps users quickly locate session replays rather than sorting through the full list. Additional filters include Cohort, Event, Event Property, and User Property.

Auto-tune traffic with multi-armed bandits
Ready to meet the intersection of testing and personalization? Amplitude Experiment customers on our Enterprise package now have access to multi-armed bandit experiments.
This advanced algorithm auto-tunes traffic as a winning variant emerges throughout the experiment and is ideal for growth teams running time-sensitive promotions like Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
For product teams multi-armed bandits are ideal for server-side tests like search algorithms or to test machine learning models. Users who combine this capability with our cohorting capabilities will find even more ways to personalize customer experiences.

Test and release faster with Default Deployments
Build experiments faster with less hassle! Default deployments make it easy for new customers to successfully set-up an experiment or feature flag. Now, your default deployment is simply your project API key from Analytics. This feature will help product teams save time and start building faster while reducing the key management burden on developers.
🔓 Access this feature by selecting the Project API Key as a deployment for feature flags and experiments. (Note: This is the same API key that is used to initialize Analytics SDKs or authenticate requests to event ingestion APIs.)
