Taxonomy VS Govern VS Tracking Plan

Hey community,

I am using the Amplitude Data (Beta) under the Enterprise trial plan.

Has both the Taxonomy API and Govern Add On become the Tracking Plan functionality in Amplitude Data?

Hi Elena — Amplitude Data (Beta) is the new home for tracking plan management, including features that are included in the Govern Add On like transformations. We are slowly rolling this out to both new and existing organizations. The Taxonomy API is not supported yet on Amplitude Data yet but we’re releasing an updated version that will be available in H2. Hope that helps.

Thank you for your reply. A few follow up questions:

When the Taxonomy API is supported on Amplitude data, then we will be able to make changes in the Tracking Plan using the Taxonomy API?

Are we correct thinking that Govern Add On and Taxonomy API will be replaced by Amplitude Data?

Wanted to follow up on Elena’s last question.

I have been using Govern since ages and it’d be nice to know the EOL plan for Govern against the Amplitude Data offering if that’s in your roadmap.

Another good thing will be to have a document explaining the existing Govern functionalities and the best way to do this in Amplitude data for easier workflow migration.
