I want to index my reports based on Data Source (not platforms), any general elaboration on this?
Hi Ardavan
If you want to do this via event seg chart, then the closest property you can use would be the “Library” property. The only catch here is that if you have 2 different sources of the same ingestion type ( e.g. HTTP API ) , then they will show the same value ( http/1.0 ).
Hope this helps.
Saish Redkar There are 2 different sources of the same ingestion, any other way?
So when you chart “Any Event” grouped by “Library”, you are seeing just one single value across your event history ,correct? If yes, then this is the highest level of granularity which is possible for grouping data sources via event segmentation.
The only other alternative, afaik, is to monitor the ingestion debugger under Data Sources.
Saish Redkar How about I create a Parameter for each Event similar to “Page Domain” that defaults Page Views in Amplitude has?
Ardavan
Yes, you can capture this as a custom property on your events for added granularity.
