Hi everyone!
We’re building a mobile for learning English. The app has already been successfully placed in app store and google play. The core experience is live interaction with an AI tutor that adapts to each student’s level, corrects mistakes in real time, and helps improve speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
Our monetization model is subscription-based, with a 7-day free trial. After the trial ends, users are charged automatically if they don’t cancel.

Question:
We’d like to track the moment when a subscription is successfully activated (i.e., the payment goes through) — in other words, when the user converts after the trial.

What is the best way to send this event to Amplitude?

Can this be done from the backend instead of the client side?

Are there any best practices for identifying users or setting event properties in this case?

Thanks in advance for your help!
