GTM and HTTP API

Forum|alt.badge.img

Hi,

Is there any blocker for implementing GTM when using the HTTP API instead of the Amplitude SDK ?

Thanks,

Hi @simonab ,

While the documentation does not say it, I do not believe there should be any problem using the HTTP API instead of the SDKs when implementing GTM. As long as you can make a basic HTTP API POST call , you should be fine and should be able to use HTTP API in conjunction with the GTM. Here is an article on GTM with Amplitude that you might find useful as well as this article on how to validate your data. You may also find this library developed by a customer to be useful.

I hope this answers your question but if not, feel free to write back!

KInd Regards,
Denis

Hi Denis,

Thanks for your answer. It looks like you forgot the link of the developed library.

Kind regards,

Simon

Hi @simonab ,

You are right, I completely forgot to link it. Apologies. Here is the link as well as another one I found but this is just a POC that GTM and JS work together, it may or may not be suited to your needs, depending on how you implement it. I hope that helps!
