Using Amplitude

Hello,I’m trying to get data via the Dashboard REST API and was able to successfully pull data via the event segmentation endpoint. However, for my next chart I need to use a group_by and use custom event propertie for grouping by. I have the following input parameters and and receive response with error:As you can see from the screenshot, “click details” is a custom event I use and “isin” is an event propertie I’d like to use for group by. If I deactivate “g” parameter or switch value for it to “platform” the request works fine and I receive a proper answer. What do I do wrong with “group by”? I can tell for sure that “isin” event propertie is valid in my project and I can use it in amplitude web interface and receive a proper graph:  

Hi. We use the Amplitude Unity plugin. There are also other plugins in the project:AppLovin Tenjin Firebase: Auth, Crashlytics, FirestoreWe also use ExternalDependencyManager for Unity.The problem started with the Addressables build hanging. Always on the scene file or the ProcessScenes() method. We got this information from the Unity dialog box. The Addressables build process even took up to an hour. After that, we did not wait any longer. Since it usually takes 1-2 minutes. Another problem we noticed was that the ForceResolve() method from ExternalDependencyManager stopped executing. It does not produce any logs or errors, even with VerboseLogging = true. The build also stopped building, we think that this is also related to all this.Interestingly, after deleting the Amplitude plugin from Package Manager, everything started working for us. This is the second time. The first time, the AmplitudeDependencies.xml file helped us. Now this file is in the project, but it does not help. We a

I want to calculate my retention by device ID. how do I do that? 

I have two experiments, Experiment_A and Experiment_BI have them set up with Flag Prerequisites https://amplitude.com/docs/feature-experiment/advanced-techniques/flag-prerequisites Experiment_A has targeting like platform = MobileExperiment_B is dependent on Experiment_A = off and has targeting like platform = Desktop Let’s say a multi-platform user is on Mobile at first and they are put into Experiment_A, but on a different session they are on Desktop.  Which outcome is true?The user is put into Experiment_A because of their past assignment The user is put into Experiment_B because they do not currently match Experiment_A, but they do match Experiment_B The user is put into no experiment, because They no longer match A, but have a past variant from A and would not meet the flag prerequisite (Experiment_A = off) to be in Experiment_B  

Hello, We’re trying to add Slack to our amplitude account to receive daily reports etc. But when we try to connect our Slack app to amplitude simply nothing happens.Is this related about our free plan of Amplitude or something buggy?Rg,Sercan

I want to understand the steps or procedure involved in removing or deleting a specific user's data or complete user profile from the Amplitude analytics platform. It involves managing user information within the Amplitude dashboard, ensuring that unwanted or unnecessary data is completely removed.

When looking up some user i am getting invalid date time and no events performed by them (but they are interacting in the app)i am using segment sdk in front end (react native) to track the events of the user but is identifying the user on the server sideHas anyone faced this issue before? Any fixes or debugging tips?Appreciate any help!

HelloI am trying to upgrade iOS SDK, after including latest XCFreamwork, I am getting following error while build the APP. “Failed to build module 'AmplitudeSwift'; this SDK is not supported by the compiler (the SDK is built with 'Apple Swift version 5.9.2 (swiftlang-5.9.2.2.56 clang-1500.1.0.2.5)', while this compiler is 'Apple Swift version 6.0.2 effective-5.10 (swiftlang-6.0.2.1.2 clang-1600.0.26.4)'). Please select a toolchain which matches the SDK.”I used XCFramework from following link which gave me the error reported below.https://github.com/amplitude/Amplitude-Swift/releases I also tried building it using Carthage like below by modifying cart filegithub "amplitude/Amplitude-Swift" ~> 1.11.7 I think Amplitude need to give XCFramework with newer version of SWIFT.Please advise.

I have an event with different properties (single choice results). As an end result, I’d like a pie chart with 100% being the uniques and the percentages related to how many users have a specific event property. Couldn’t figure it out so far and would appreciate some help. 

Hello,  I’m stuck at the very basic initial step of setting up amplitude. I’ve pasted the snippet to our page, and I am seeing events being registered in the chrome extension. Still, when I return to the amplitude page setup, I see “listening” and no data received, while “finish setup” is greyed out. Can this be related to the fact that I’m testing this out in our staging environment somehow? 

Hello everyone, I’m honestly losing my mind and could really use some help.I’m setting up Google Ads (Event Stream), but I keep running into an error during the “Test Connection” step. The error message is:io.grpc.StatusRuntimeException: UNAVAILABLE: Credentials failed to obtain metadata.I’ve double-checked my JSON key file, and it looks fine. The service account has the correct permissions (including domain-wide delegation), but I still can’t get past this error. Has anyone successfully solved this before? I’d really appreciate any guidance or tips 🙏 

Hi,We are using Amplitude Browser SDK v2.11.6, and we’ve noticed that the "trial_confirmed" event is missing for approximately 10% of our users.What We’ve Checked: We cross-referenced user IDs with Stripe and Braze data, confirming that these users successfully activated their trial. Other events before "trial_confirmed" are successfully recorded in Amplitude. We have autocapture enabled, and we can see an "Element Clicked" event for the "OK" button on the trial confirmation popup. We trigger the "trial_confirmed" event when the popup is shown, so if the popup appears, this event should also be triggered. The Issue: Despite the popup being displayed and interacted with, the "trial_confirmed" event does not appear for some users. As far as we know, this issue seems to affect only this particular event.

Hi, Over the last couple of days we’ve been encountering a problem with an existing production system which searches for Amplitude records by Amplitude ID using the User Search API.e.g: amplitude.com/api/2/usersearch?user=foo We’re consistently seeing no records returned by the API when we’ve verified that an Amplitude record exists with the exact Amplitude ID we’re searching for. The same API is still able to return matches when searching using Device IDs.Has this functionality of the User Search API been deprecated?

Resetting password does not help. Seems crazy there is no self-serve way to get this.

We implement a short delay (displaying a splash screen briefly) to allow sufficient time to retrieve the variant assignment. Could you please help clarify the following points? I’m using AmplitudeSwift SDK to my iOS app. I have a toggle in the app to allow users to opt out the analytics. The SDK document states it should be as simple as setting optOut = true.let amplitude = Amplitude(    configuration: Configuration(        apiKey: AMPLITUDE_API_KEY,        optOut: true    ))However, I implemented the constructer in my code to respect user preferences. private init() { let analyticsEnabled = UserDefaults.standard.bool(forKey: "analyticsEnabled") amplitude = Amplitude(configuration: Configuration( apiKey: Constants.amplitudeKey, optOut: !analyticsEnabled )) }It works that manual trackings are stopped, but I can still receive the anonymous session tracks on my dashboard. Is it expected? How can I entirely opt out the user in that case?  

I have hooked my UI (React) with amplitude to track user events. The out-of-the-box metrics are great.Is it possible to start tracking the first event a user takes after logging in for each session, like the first page visited of something like that? Is it possible to do this on the amplitude dashbord or do I need to do this via code?

I been using amplitude for a while for my Client Portal. I used to set user Ids as the ID I had in the DB. We also have UUID in the DB and want to use that for user id. How do I update all the existing User Ids with their UUIDs?

Hi there, we’re currently tracking data on Amplitude just using sGTM. However, we’d like to enable session replays but I cannot understand how to do that with sGTM tag created by Amplitude. So far I just saw the possibility with GTM web version.

How would we go about using the API to list metadata on all available Spaces, Dashboards, Charts etc. in a given Amplitude instance? I do not see any documentation around such API endpoints, though I do see the app making graphQL calls to retrieve this internally (for instance - https://app.amplitude.com/t/graphql/org/12345?q=PaginatedSpaceItems). I’m unable to use those endpoints with the api_key:secret_key basic auth though. Are these accessible over a different auth mechanism? Any hints on this front would be much appreciated. 

Any idea how to troubleshoot this issue? I am trying to set up snowflake as an event destination, Everything works as expected until I get to the finish step of the integration. When I click “Finish” I get a non descriptive error message saying there was an error when trying to initiate the export. When I exit the flow, there is no destination set up in the destinations tab.

I am trying to send a cohort to Hubspot. Properties I wish to sync are emails. I wanted to stream events but this seems an enterprise plan on Hubspot! Can someone advise how to send a basic cohort of emails to hubspot (saved in contacts). My cohort is created based on a sign up event with an email as property. I wish to senf this email property to Hubspot and save in contacts...or as a workflow. The sync does not work. I am getting a generic message about my form. What form?? This error message is telling you that there is a problem with the fields in your form.

The definition of Saved segment is quite limited, for example it is not possible to:Exclude users who performed an action Filter events based on their parameters (and not just the event name)Is there any workaround? Thanks
