Hello there,I’m trying to add new Events to Amplitude, but I can't make my Planned events go Live : There is no button or whatsoever to do so. As I was desperate I tried asking ChatGPT (haha), which was kind enough to help me but the buttons he’s talking about are not there: I am an Admin, so I guess I should see everything. That’s driving me a bit crazy, any help would be much appreciated!! Thanks :)
The best way to describe exactly what I am looking for is to explain with an example. Inside the app, we have events called 'Onboarding opened.' In this event, we have different Type properties that describe each specific step of the onboarding process. I would like to put this information in the Pathfinder view to understand the percentage of drop-off at each screen and to identify any points of friction that can be optimized. Additionally, I am interested in learning how to generate a pathfinder and filter paths based on users who have a specific property associated with a particular event. For example, I want the first step to include only the people who have a specific property in a particular event and understand their customer journey.
As part of our migration away from Google Analytics to Amplitude as our primary tool for websites/ apps I'm doing some validation of marketing channel/ campaign data from UTM parameters.In our "utm_medium" parameter we have a value of "organic"; this has a value of 6,791 sessions in Amplitude for a particular time period....but over in Google Analytics it's vastly higher at 20,803 for the same time period. I've set saveParamsReferrerOncePerSession to false in our Amplitude tags in GTM, and also left unsetParamsReferrerOnNewSession set to false....this configuration I believe should reflect the Google Analytics default "last non-direct click" attribution, so I'm struggling to understand why Amplitude is reporting so much lower?One thing that did cross my mind is that I don't see utm_medium = organic passed in the URL query string for all clicks from Google organic results for our site. The main menu options (user look up, data etc) aren’t loading for us. When we refresh a tab or launch a new one, the options come and disappear. Why might this be happening and how do we fix it? It’s become really difficult to use Amplitude without these options and we’re relying just on old urls which we can remember. Video link- if you look between 3-5 seconds mark, the menu bar appears and disappears immediately.
I understand that every event ha the user properties at the time of the trigger; however, that doesn’t work for our use case.1. User lands on sign-up page and begins onboarding (at this time, they don’t have the correct user type)2. After completed onboarding, they will have the correct user typeWe would like to track how many people viewed sign-up page and completed onboarding, segmented by user type. Hi Amplitude Community, As you may know, Amplitude is an event-based platform. When using Amplitude, you are querying on the value of a user property at the time of the event. For some analysis, you may want to query the latest value of a property. There are three ways to achieve that: creating a cohort with the “most recently” clause creating a user composition chart with “most recent value” measure create a computed property with the “last value”Please note that the Cohorts and Computations feature are not available for customer on the Starter plan. Hi, I’m looking at this documentation.https://www.docs.developers.amplitude.com/experiment/guides/troubleshooting/restarting-experiments/We want to try this feature, as it would be quite useful for us. However, for the iOS version is say minimum v1.11.0, but iOS seems to only have up to v8.17.1. There’s also a beta SDK that is v0.4.7. Could I ask which SDK should we upgrade to to test this? Or maybe there’s a version I’m not aware of?Thanks in advance.
In the typescript repo there is a bunch of plugins being released and I cannot find any documentation. One caught my eye today called “user agent enrichment” https://github.com/amplitude/Amplitude-TypeScript/releases/tag/%40amplitude%2Fplugin-user-agent-enrichment-browser%401.0.0 its 1.0.0 so a significant release version. Where are the docs for these plugins?
How do you calculate LTV per user? How do you calculate a distribution of user total purchase? How do you calculate a distribution of user repeat purchases?I have just started at a new company and am trying to calculate LTV but cannot figure it out.We use the revenue event and seem to have both total spend and total purchases # associated with the user but I cannot figure out how to use these two useful metrics. Both total purchase # and total spend are not stored as user properties but seem to be unique revenue user properties? I have never seen them before. I have attached an image of my user profile for context. Please help!
Hi all, reaching out here looking for some insight on a retention report. I'm plotting the Month 1 retention rate for user engagement on our website, using a calculation based on 30-day windows. When looking at the numbers for the previous month (specifically, users who signed up in May and returned to the site in June), I noticed that there is an asterisk denoting incomplete data for the month of May (see the screenshot attached). I'm using the "return on" option.Since the time interval is set between March 1st and June 30th, I expected the data collection for users who signed up in May to be complete. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening, or has anyone else come across this?
My product is an application that insurance producers use to grow their business.I have an event called ‘Search Initiated’ that logs every time a user searches for more business. The Search tool has various options under it, and some are categorized as ‘Cross Sell Search’. These are 8 event properties that indicate the user is looking at businesses that we already sell too - IE, they’re trying to sell them a new product they don’t already have.When looking at Amplitude events, I have a custom event called ‘Cross Sell Search Initiated’. It logs something every time a user selects at least 1 of the 8 cross sell search features. When building analyses, Amplitude seems to think that each time a cross sell feature is selected, that is a unique event. However I can prove in back end data that sometimes users elect 2 or more of these options in a single search.Is there a way to show unique event counts for a custom, aggregate event?See chart attached. How would I distinguish time periods by color in a chart? Since it's 1 segment on a daily chart for 30 days, I'd like to highlight each day of week (Mon-Sun) a different color, with up to 7 total. I don't seem to see that ability within the charts. Initial community searches for “color” don’t seem to pull up a relevant page. Also, this is my 1st post, Amplitude data only went live for our web analytics June 28!
Hi,We’re using the Behavioural Cohorts API to export a cohort of players for programmatic use. We now have a need for the Device ID(s) of these users to be included in our exports.This doesn’t appear to be possible, since with props=1 and no propKeys argument (so we should be getting all properties for the users), the Device ID(s) are not included. However, it is possible to have the most recently used Device ID for a user included when you sync a cohort to say, S3. Am I missing something, or is this a limitation of the cohorts API?Thanks!

But what then ? How can we best use this inside the Ampltude platform ?I can’t find a single Analytics report prebuild to use this input. I would expect a simple map, or heatmap.The intended case was to see where in our Country the main App users are located.Any ideas, ore are intended to forward/export the data to use it ?
We've identified an issue with the Amplitude data. We found that Event B is recorded in User A's history, but when we try to query for users with Event B in the segmentation chart, User A is not showing up. Hello,I added a new group of product package in dev, staging and production environment. It has exact same instrumentation done on all environments but for some reason I only see the group being live in dev environment. I see the status as Planned and not live for the newly added group on production and staging. What can be the possible cause of this issue? Thanks!
I have a game with auto-generated levels that people can play in parallel. I want to track how many levels are being played at any time. For example 5 levels – 10000 users7 levels – 1000 users2 levels – 8000 users15 levels – 500 users etc. Every time a user exists/kills a level, I want them to send an update – user-id 5, 10 levels (earlier 11). How can I achieve this?
