Using Amplitude

Hello!We are pretty heavy on querying our cross project portfolio view consisting of multiple production source projects. Currently, even after approving the unexpected events and their properties in the individual source projects, I have to approve them in cross project view also . Is this the expected behavior? Thanks!

Hello, my company is just starting to implement Amplitude and we were hoping to connect with others that are currently using Amplitude and have a B2B product portfolio similar to ours.  Our portfolio contains @10 products that all have some level of integration with our core product and all products are at different parts of their life cycle.  I wanted to get some insight on what you have done with Amplitude and how you are tracking usage/events across your entire portfolio which is our end goal.If anyone is interested in perhaps setting up a quick zoom call to discuss that would be much appreciated as well.

Hello, I've been trying to get the retention using a starting event and return event.The cURL that i'm using (excluded the auth header): https://amplitude.com/api/2/retention?se=\{"event_type":"ce:notification_open_event"\}&re=\{"event_type":"Start%20Session"\}&start=20210412&end=20210415notification_open_event is a custom event and i'm trying to use the amplitude default event Start Session as well.the cURL keeps returning 400: Bad Request (Unable to create definition from arguments)the documentation (https://developers.amplitude.com/docs/dashboard-rest-api#retention-analysis) states that “Full event for the start action. Supports two "event_type" values: "_new" for new users, and "_active" for all users.”. Can it be a custom event as well? If not, what would be an alternative to do the same but with a custom eventThanks!

Hello, I am exploring the taxonomy api (https://developers.amplitude.com/docs/taxonomy-api).The requirement is to programatically delete the event-properties from the event.Assume that there is some event with name `Watched Videos` which contains numerous event_properties. Suppose I want to analyze the funnel between Event A → Event B → Event CSometimes, because of eventing issues or missing eventing, some users are able to get to Event C without doing Event B. In those cases, would it be possible to backfill on Event B, where we say “If a user has done Event A and Event C, assume they have also done Event B even if it is not present). In many cases, users are allowed to skip steps in the funnel, so I wanted to check if Amplitude has a way of incorporating that.

I wanted to look at the conversion between two events, say “Viewed Song” and “Played Song” (What % of users who view a particular song play it). The song_id is one of the event properties for both events, and I want to hold that constant over both events, so I’m answering “Of all the users who view a particular song, how many play that song” instead of “Of all the users who view a song, how many play any song”. Is there a way to do that in Amplitude?

Hello!As an admin, can I remove users from a Team Space? I accidentally added a user to an irrelevant Team Space and want to remove them from it. I couldn’t find anything in the UI to make this happen. Thanks!

Hello Team,I have sent a new event to Amplitude, but not seeing it in the Events tab, but I can find it in the Home → Unexpected Errors page, then I approved the event. However it is disappeared, and couldn’t find it anywhere. Can you please help?Thanks

Hi, I’d like to do the following analysis for all users who sign up to my app, so only their first session. I already did a funnel analysis until they reach the home of the app. This analysis is focused on this specific screen (home) : average lenght of time on this screen.  most common actions on this screen which lead to subscribe. most common actions on this screen which lead to drop-off. user path (but only for first session).Thanks in advance !  

Hello!Many a times I want to verify if I have synced a given cohort to the correct Marketo field. It appears that I'm not able to view the Custom Marketo Boolean Field after a sync is performed. Once you sync, the only option is to resync it or set up a new field for another sync. Is there a way to view this field after a sync is performed?Ideally, seeing this field alongside the following details for a cohort will be helpful - Thanks!

Hi, I have two questions about setting and modifying events. 1. ‘Start Session’ as an eventI’ve known that ‘Start Session’ and ‘End Session’ events which are offered by amplitude automatically are visible on the ‘Pathfinder’ and ‘User Session’ chart. What if I want to use that on the other charts as an event? I checked this link and sent it to our developer, but he said it seems not possible because our app is made by react-native. (https://help.amplitude.com/hc/en-us/articles/115002323627-Tracking-Sessions) Is there any way to set up these to the event?  2. Change the name of event property valueAs changing our data structure, I’d like to change the name of the event property value. I thought it’s possible on the page ‘GOVERN’ but it just allows to change property name, not value name. Can I change it?  Thanks!

First, a little background. If you didn’t know, Bracket Retention offers more flexibility and freedom than N-Day retention; it allows you to define your retention period. On the x-axis, N-day retention maximums are 30-day, 24-week, and 12-month retention respectively. But what if you’re hoping to see beyond the default scope? Custom brackets make this possible! Say you’re looking to see weekly retention for the entire year. Using weekly granularity, you can create custom brackets for all 52 weeks of the year:  Amplitude will conveniently save your custom brackets to the metrics module. That way you can easily reference the same 52-week bracket again for future retention charts. How have you tried using custom brackets in your analysis?

Challenge:Most people will opt-out of sharing their privacy info when iOS14 fully rolls out and sends those notifications. Once that happens, FB (and other paid channels) will underreport on its performance of how many people converted from their platform, and product analytics will begin to lose key visibility. When using Amplitude and AppInsights together on the client side, the browser is flooded with error messages like below. Access to XMLHttpRequest at 'https://api.appcues.net/v1/accounts/111111111111111' from origin 'http://222222222222' has been blocked by CORS policy: Request header field request-id is not allowed by Access-Control-Allow-Headers in preflight response.Is is possible to make appcues accept the “request-id” header for OPTIONS request?

What is the best way to analyze buttons click? For instance, I have a flow of purchase with a few clicks with no particular events in it -- just a regular click with confirmation of the action. What is the best way to track it in Amplitude? My idea was to make ‘Click On’ with properties named for different buttons.​​​​​​​For instance registration flow:1)‘Click On’buttonName = Sign Up in header2)‘Click On’buttonName = Register NowIs it the right way to do such things?
