Hi community!I’m a Alba and I’m facing problem we have no clue to 🥲 The situation is the as following:We noticed that events from some of the users are not displaed in Amplitude  while :events from other users created in the same test case and in the same conditions are logged all the ads or track blockers are turned off Amplitude Event Explorer shows events as loggedWe see “success” reply in devs console (see screen3)  Have anyone faced that? How did you solve it?🙏

I’m noticing a weird issue with the Amplitude plug-in for Shopify where no [Shopify] - Purchase Item events are being fired for [Shopify] - Order Created in the case where a customer used a “fixed_amount” promo code (note: “percentage” type promo codes do not have this issue). Relevant parts of the event_properties payload from the [Shopify] - Order Created event that have led me to believe this is a problem with this sort of discount are shown in the image below.To help troubleshoot, these are all the discount apps that are currently live on our store. We have recently found out a huge amount of events being sent from Segment to Amplitude and they are mostly from our API.Based on Amplitude data, especially for this api/Account/GetCSVData event, almost every single time a user does this, a new event type is created - which trigged 1700+ times over 2 days.so with these 1700+ new event types created, we have reached our event limit unexpectedly - even after I blocked these events as soon as we found out this error. We have been losing data since 4/4 and we cant really afford these level of data disconnection. 

Hi!We are seeing differences between the data saved as initital_utm_ on the user properties and the actual data from the users first event utm_I'm attaching a screenshot from a users utm properties and a screenshot of the same user first event properties.We are seeing this in almost all users having utm data on their first event. So this is affecting a lot of our data analysis…Shouldn’t initial_utm_ never change?NOTE: I’ve opened a request ticket about this that was closed without a response because is a non-critical issue and as a Starter User I can only open tickets about critical issues: how is having the wrong user properties, affecting all of our ROI analysis, no a critical issue in a data platform? 🤯

We currently track page views on our website (ie every time a user lands on a page we fire an amplitude event with relevant page data like url, title, etc).  We want to also be able to track the first page visited, meaning we want to know what page a completely new user lands on first. Is there any suggested way of doing that via Amplitude? Thanks! 

Ive been trying to create a chart with “most active” pages for a specific cms. for exmple top 10 viewed pages where the page name contains “company page”. but i cant figure out a way to do this.  “top global events” cant be filtered by name.“any event” gives me a total and i cant see which pages are doing better.   I’m new to amplitude, so there might be an obvious solution that im missing 

Hey all, we’re trying to figure out the best way to access all instances of an event and its properties. We can currently see the values in a dropdown list and select them, but we that’s the only way we seem to have access to the data. Is there another view that I’m missing or a way to export this data as a CSV so we can manage it elsewhere? 

I’m trying to create a custom event but I’m facing two problem.1 - I’m trying to get all access that the source is Google, but I can’t select all because exceeds the limit 2 - So I thought if I can’t select all use the freeform, that I’m not sure if it works the way I’m thinking, on the list there are a lot of links that have a different source that I typed on the search like bing and Facebook, how can I be sure that my custom event is only using the correct source 

Hello, i have a question.Im developing the app in flutter and i wanna use the amplitude for tracking my app.I confirmed the tracking of iOS, but android doesn’t tracking everything include event, set userid.I need your help :(  i developed refer to https://developers.amplitude.com/docs/flutter-setup this page. 

I seem to be running into an issue where even though I'm sending events with Event Properties that I can see when I look in the User Look-Up events, I can't seem to find them in the UI to select them / filter them. For example, I have a pageview event that sends the pathname Event-Property registration/groups which I see on the User Look-Up page (see first screenshot), but I can't seem to filter and find it when I'm doing a funnel sequence. I’m on the Starter plan and haven’t hit my event limit yet. Any help or insight would be appreciated!

Error PageI’ve been getting this error page for the last couple of days when I try to load the dashboard. Does anyone know how I can resolve this?

I posted this in the Data (Beta) sub but realized this sub is probably more appropriate for this question. I’m currently implementing Amplitude into my project using the Ampli CLI and have gotten to a point where everything should be set up and ready to emit metrics. However, when I called one of the methods to emit a metric I don’t see any data on the Amplitude Data site for my project. For example, if I have a metric called “Page Viewed” and in my code I run the method ampli.pageViewed(params), after running that method I check on the Amplitude Data website and see that nothing has changed. In addition, when I try to log the event I get the following CORS message if that relates to this problem:Cross-Origin Request Blocked: The Same Origin Policy disallows reading the remote resource at https://api.amplitude.com/. (Reason: CORS request did not succeed). Status code: (null). Any help would be appreciated!

Hello! I was just wondering if anyone knows what this means in the new Data area for events?  

I am calling https://profile-api.amplitude.com/v1/userprofile endpoint with required params but I see that cohort_ids is always an empty array for every user id. Why is this the case? Even though the users are part of many cohorts.

I recently implemented Web Tracking on my Javascript instance of Amplitude for our website. Web Tracking allows us to grab things like UTM parameters or Referring Domain information to help us understand how users started a session on our platform. I should also mention my platform is a B2B SaaS platform. The problem I am having is that those details (e.g. “utm_campaign”, “utm_source”) are set as user properties and persist until something else replaces them. However, the purpose of collecting referring details such at UTMs are to help me understand what drove a user to our platform… implicitly defined as “for that session”.  The problem with the way this is currently implemented is that if I have a user come to my platform as a result of opening an email that I sent to drive them to my site today, and they come back to my site directly tomorrow, or next week… that first email campaign continues to “get the credit”. We got attacked by a spammer who created 64,000 new accounts in our SaaS product in one day. Now all of our metrics and charts are messed up as a result.Is there a way to delete these users and their associated events in Amplitude?I know there is the User Privacy API where you can request people to be removed, but from what I understand you can only do that in batches of 100 and then you need to wait the 3 day grace period and then the job is scheduled 10-13 days later. This doesn’t seem like a viable option.

For how long the events will be stored ?suppose if i want to look at events data which is sent to dashboard like a 6 months ago .. can i still create charts based on that event.. ?

Hello!I recently joined a team that has been sending data to Amplitude for several years. Over those years it seems that nobody managed or heavily used the account. I’m trying to get our account into shape so that our product team can leverage Amplitude.The issue that I am running into is that we were over the 2,000 event type limit.The first thing I did was go to Data (formerly Govern) and delete event types that haven’t been used in 2+ years. So now the Data tab shows we have ~1100 event types.But the account still shows that we are over the 2k limit and it doesn’t seem that new event types are showing up.I deleted the event types 5 days ago.This other thread discusses a similar problem, but there isn’t clear guidance on how long it may take for the counts to reset and new event types to begin flowing again. 

Is there the ability able to create event categories in the new Data tab and assign them to existing events?

Hi Team,I am new to Amplitude.Just to brief you all,I am using Java SDK to publish events on Amplitude from Scheduled Job.I have a data structure, let’s say[{gender: [“male”, “female”]},{count:[“2”,”3”]}]Is there any possibility where I can plot a graph on Amplitude saying so and so ‘gender’ has so and so ‘count’ like male has 2 counts and female has 3?Thanks in advance!

Hi All, We are a job recruitment platform and offers different plans for companies to choose from. They can either purchase during the 14 Days trial period OR after expiry OR upgrade plan any time in the future.  The CTA is mainly clicking on the plan's purchase button on the Plans Page, but we wish to track which type of users it is (First time user- During Trial, First time user - Expired Trial, Repeat purchase after cancellation, Upgrade purchase with existing plan), may I know how should I go about it with setting tracks for it?   Thank you and hope to hear from you soon. 

Dear Amplitude Community,I have Kochava attribution solution in my app which forwards attribution event to Amplitude through the “[Kochava] Install” event. In my case some events are being sent and others aren’t sent. I had contacted Kochava Support Team already, and they asked me to get a rep from you directly mentioning that “Our postbacks are formatted as requested by Amplitude” and “we'll need you to loop in your Amplitude rep so they can provide us with guidance on how we should update our postback template with them to prevent this issue”.  I provide you with examples of requests which are sent and which aren’t sent below. They are taken from Kochava account. Previously I removed all sensitive information with “<>”. You can see that there are needless escape characters which are “\” (backslash). I suppose that they aren’t used in actual requests but are only shown as strings in Kochava account, but I can’t be sure. Otherwise, all requests would fail with 400 response code a

Hi! I had a question regarding the default amplitude platform user property which seems to be tracking weirdly on our product. Currently, when we're trying to make a chart to segment the users by mobile vs. web, it says that all of our users are accessing our platform through the web. However, we're still currently tracking on Google Analytics as well, which shows a decent amount of mobile traffic. I have some screenshots to show exactly what I mean, but I’d appreciate any insight into what's going on. Thanks! 

 EDIT - RESOLVED Turns out the issue had to do with setting certain events (which made up the bulk of these sessions) as inactive, which changes how session lengths are calculated Hey everyone, Having an issue with a Time Spent analysis, where the session lengths don’t seem to be calculated properly in the graph. For example, I have this session from March 28th that should have lasted ~5 hours with Session ID = 1648497402637. Session length should be ~5 hours When I run the User Sessions analysis, filter for this user and look up the same session ID, I get the “answer” that this session was 4 minutes long. same session, total time spent = 4minHas anyone else run into this before/have any idea what is happening? Thanks!Dan Here’s the setup for the graph
