Maximum how many event properties can an event have? 

Sorry if this is a super basic question but I’m wondering if it’s possible to have an event without any properties? For context, we want to track page view events.  Also, another question. When creating an event in Amplitude, how do you add time/date data? Or do you have specify date/time in event properties beforehand in order to actually see that data?

Hello, I am using both Google Analytics and Amplitude to track users behavior in my CMS. However, for the specific event “Page View”, I have different numbers of events in both tools, while I track them in the same way. How do I track the event page view: when the DOM is ready, we sent the Website Page Viewed event. for GA, we use Google Tag Manager to track the events for Amplitude, we use the Amplitude JS library Results:On Google Analytics, for a given month:  27 900 events On Amplitude: 26 738 events for a given month Any ideas what could be the source of the problem?

Dear Amplitude Community,Could you suggest what is a default value for setEventUploadPeriodMillis in React Native?This information is missing both in production and beta docs. I’ve found that default value for Java is 10,000 milliseconds https://developers.amplitude.com/docs/java#configure-batching-behavior. Is it the same for React-Native?

I have user’s monthly activities in this format:{ "2022": { "5": { "Likes": 2, "Comments": 1 } }}If I sync this as user attributes, how would I be able to get answers to questions like:Which activity is more popular among all users? [Likes or Comments?] How many total Likes were performed by given user in whole year 2022?Is this possible in Amplitude?

Hi, guys! I’m trying to understand how weekly retention and custom brackets work. As an experiment I’ve created two charts - one for standard weekly retention shown as change over time and the other for custom bracket 7-13 daily retention also shown as change over time. I expected that Week 1 retention and weighted average of the same 7 days of 7-13 daily retention would be roughly at the same level. But in fact the difference is around 25% between them and I can’t wrap my head around it. Am I missing something? Thanks! 

Hi there!I’m using Amplitude Flutter SDK, and I’m looking for a way to disable tracking the IP Address. I’ve tried to enable COPPA Control, however, the SDK still collects IP addresses. Is there something I’m missing? Thanks in advance for the help!

Hi,I am trying to exclude users with a trailing email (eg @gmail.com) from a defined cohort.For example, I had defined a cohort, and I’d like to use “email != @gmail.com”, will it create Uniques graph that is not including all gmail users? Bill

When I try to run a get fetch request on an Event Segmentation:https://developers.amplitude.com/docs/dashboard-rest-api#event-segmentationI get a CORS error that blocks talking with the GET request url. Is there a solution to using the REST API above in the frontend using javascript?

I’ve set up my Amplitude project and have successfully started tracking events. I see all the data being saved on the Amplitude dashboard of my project which is great. However, I want to be able to show this data to my customers as well. What’s the best way currently to query for Amplitude data so that I can use it to show graphs on my website? Preferably the data should come in as a json that I can reformat.

Hello Amplitude community! We are developing web app where we use Ampitude JS (front) + Amplitude Java SDK’s (server).In our web app there is a registration flow with the following events:REGISTRATION_STARTED (browser) PHONE_ENTERED (browser) PHONE_SENT (browser) PHONE_CHECKED (server) SMS_SENT (server) - sms code sent to client mobile phone SMS_SENT (browser) - user enters sms code in the input and send it SMS_VALIDATED (server) REGISTRATION_SUCCEED (browser) Problem: in Amplitude analytics events: 4 and 5 some times are displayed after event 8 because browser and server times are a bit different. These wrong ordering makes our funnel charts show wrong statistics.How can we set strict event ordering as described before?

Hi, my user journey is :  For event 2, the anonymous user registers an online event as a guest, but inputs a user’s email  to register (user F560) so our backend will send an event to Amplitude and note the event was executed by “user F560”.In this case, although the anonymous user didn’t log in, we can still identify he/she is user F560. I wonder whether there is any way to update the user property of event 1, 3 to user F560? Thanks!

Our Amplitude feed suddenly stopped getting data since 1 May. It says I should contact support, but I am on the free plan so it looks like I have to reach out to the community. Does anyone have any ideas what the issue is? Anything I can provide?

I want to create a cohort for users representing abandoned basketbelow is the logic which I tried :users who:have performed event = "banana added to bag"or have performed event ="apples added to bag"(and so on including all the products where 'added to bag' is associated withproducts )also who have not performed an event = "order placed"As you can see, there could be hundreds of products like these and it is notfeasible to add them one by one.Is there a way where I can somehow select 'added to bag' keyword and it includesall such products at once?Any help would be appreciated.Thanks

Hi! We use our own proxy service since December and everything was great until this month. Now we simply can’t see any events from the UI side in the Amplitude, looks like they aren’t send there at all. In JS SDK we use apiEndpoint to set our own server endpoint & we use NGINX as our proxy server.I’d appreciate any ideas on this issue.Thanks! Alisa

  I’m seeing an issue where the Segmentation chart I’m seeing doesn’t correctly pull the Event property for this event. The majority of events are categorised as ‘none’, but if I check the users who performed those events, on the list of their events that event does have the right property (see 2nd screenshot).

Hi, I am trying to download a list of all the events we have, but I get an error.I go to the Data beta, events, and click the download buttonThen I leave Schema of all events checked and click download. I get this error{"name":"InputError","message":"Unable to find requested app.","errorCode":"ENVIRONMENT_APP_NOT_FOUND"}That’s in chromeIn Firefox it’s similar I tried selecting all the events beforehand, but the result is the same.I’m new to amplitude, did I miss something or is it a bug?Thanks AnnaCogo

Hey, I’m using segment’s Amplitude Action destination.I have an ‘Order Completed’ event that contains a lot of properties, among them ‘products’ an array of objects with the price, id, … of the products purchased.Looking in amplitude a ‘Product Purchased’ event is created for each item in ‘products’ with the product’s properties. But i’m loosing all the properties of the ‘Order Completed’ event, what is the best way to pass those properties to the ‘Product Purchased’ event ?Example :Order Completed :store: Paris,Products: [{id: 1, price:2, quantity: 1}]It creates the following event automatically :Product Purchased:id: 1,price: 2,quantity: 1But it’s missing the store propertyThanks, Matthias
