I created a start session and end session test to run on my iOS application, but the events are not firing. I’ve read what qualifies as a started/ended session, and the criteria is being met; however, those events will not fire at all. I have other tracking running on my application that works perfectly fine, but I can’t seem to figure out why it won’t for start session. If anyone knows why this may be happening or can think of a work around, that would be fantastic. Thanks!

Today I persistently getrequests.exceptions.HTTPError: 404 Client Error: Not Found for url: https://amplitude.com/api/2/export?start=20220816T12&end=20220816T19i.e. was able to communicate with a given server, but the server could not find what was requestedThis happened once on 1:25PM 08/15 but was successfully retried, then occurs persistently today at 1:26AM 08/17 and 7:26PM 08/16 UTC time.Could anyone please help me understand why this happens?

Is it possible to get user properties or just set them? I’m currently using `Identify().append()` to add Optimizely experiment IDs to an `experiments` property, but if a user visits the same page, that experiment is added to the array again. I’m trying to figure out how I can avoid duplicating items in the array.

I’m trying to create a chart based on a list of users or a list of IPs. When I try and paste the copied list of IPs and or user names it just says (freeform) it won’t identify the users separately to select them, which in turn causes me to have to type them in one by one. In another tool I use, this is possible, but it doesn’t seem to be within Amplitude. see pics  

Hello, We’ve released the new app build on Android using the native Google Play staged release  functionality (50\50 split release). Unfortunately, we see that the new build’s average session length has dropped by ~20-25%: https://prnt.sc/Pc6imrI6htuJ . We can’t understand how could this happen: the new build doesn’t have bugs or new features that could’ve dropped the session length so much. The most significant change we did is we’ve deleted lots of unused custom Amplitude events. Tell me, please, have you ever experienced anything like that? Maybe you have any thoughts\ideas?

 Hello hello,I'm trying to update my tracking plan and to rename some events in my data plan :I've renamed events in the Data Govern section from Amplitude (“Event A” renamed to “Event B”) Our developers have then updated the event name in the Tracking plan on the back-end (“Event A” renamed to “Event B”)But, it creates a new event "Event B", instead of sending directly the data to the Event B (previously named Event A) on Amplitude. Meaning we have now two events “Event B”.By the way, we’re using Segment, I don’t know if this could have an impact.Any idea how to solve this?Thanks  🙏

Has anyone tried tracking user age before? I have a case now where it’s relevant to capture and update their current age, and I’m wondering whether to do something clever like below, or just to brute force it and update their “current age” user property every day or session. Age User Property Set both their birthdate and age (at time of submission) as user properties Configure derived property in Amplitude for current age (i.e. today - birthday)

I have tried to get pass the event types for segmentation API dynamically, is there any way we could pass the event types for segmentation dynamically?

Hi, hope this is the right thread to ask this..I spent half of the day experimenting and thinking how to achieve chart that I want - unsuccessfully..I want to know: How many unique users change same entities in our system.In my domain we have entity (Campaign). It’s accessible for multiple users.Campaign has an ID (unique per campaign), I get ID with with Save event in event props. Next to that I have user info as well like Profile Name/Id etc.. Now the ultimate goal is to know how data is distributed - how many people usually Edit and Save single campaign.So eventually to know how many people usually work on single entity during entity lifecycle.Currently I have this view by simply:Go to Event Segmentation Select Save event Select FrequencyAnd I assume it already shows split of how many times Campaigns are edited (but still I’m not sure if this is true since adding where and selecting all available IDs changes my results) Anyway, any suggestion how I should build my query so I see sim

Hi, just integrated Amplitude iOS.I don’t see data in Charts but I see them in User Lookup.Am I missing something?  But empty here 

Good afternoon!We happen to have too many events that clog up the user path and it's hard for me to keep track of it. How can I hide unnecessary events from the output without having to change the program code?I tried to change Visability of events, but it didn’t help. I keep seeing them in User Lookup and in the Amplitude events list on Charts.

I want to get data for what is the time difference between  each login for every customer using which graph i can generate this.. 

Hi!We are using amplitude to track usage of certain actions within our web app. When clicking some events we see in the live tracking that they trigger ~5 times instead of the 1 we expect. We dont see this behaviour when we run the app in Chrome, only in Firefox. Does anyone have any ideas on what could be happening?Thanks :) 

Hello!We are using a Trial Enterprise Plan, currently using US Data Centres. We are contemplating the option to use EU Data Centres instead - but wanted to know what features are currently supported? For example - are Amplitude Analytics, Experiment and Data all supported? And what would be missing if we were to switch?Many thanks for your help!All the best,Helen

how to measure How many unique events triggered  through in a single given session

As you can see from the screen shots -- I’ve gone through and removed a bunch of SEO urls that were clogging up our Event Types for the month.  Under Govern, I’m seeing ~270 events but the account is still reporting 1,991.   Is there a way to make sure the events are not blocked between the two?  It use to clear up in real time.  Is there a delay now?

Hey there!I want to select all the times a specific event was launched by any user for the first time. Here is an example, to clarify: lets say I have a number of users (painters) which can paint, and I want to select and analyze all the times a specific event (lets say, paint something of a given color) was launched. So I would like to select in that case only the first time they painted something, not all the times any user painted something, but the first time a user paints something know what was the selected color, in order to analyze which colors users pick first.Is there any way of doing so? I tried with the “New users” thing but it didn’t worked as I expected.Thanks in advance!

I’m experiencing a consistent browser log error of “Amplitude Logger [Error]: Event skipped due to optOut config” after I “setOptOut(true)”, anyway to get rid of it? I want to opt out the user activity tracking for some situations, but not happy to see the error logs all the time in the browser console.

Hi community,We set up an amazon s3 connection to ingest parquet files. The connection is working fine, we have already ingested several files. Although one of the ingested jobs has failed, there is a link to download the error logs but that link redirects to the Events table in the Amplitude Data page.How do we look at the error logs when an S3 import ingest job has failed?Thank you in advance! 

Hello My name is James Lee I am a server developer and Korean, so I'm not good at EnglishThe server configuration was done in Kotlin.If the user links the amplitude to the api call logic, will there be a lot of load?Or is it better to process it through a separate dump? Or is there a better way?
