Hi I’m currently on a project with typescript and amplitude data collecting is working well. Though I have a question, my project is getting user properties including referrer domain and referrer, however I’m wondering if there is a way to get the data on my code and maybe group them? For example, if the users are coming from Google, the referrer domain is “https://google.com”, and I wish I could change it to just “google” and send this to user properties or event properties even. I browsed through tons of documentations but couldn’t find the right answer. I hope someone can help me. Thanks a lot! 

Hi, for the last few hours we can’t export excel format of our daily report data table. CSV still works but ONLY as one combined column instead of breaking the columns in excel.we use the “group by property” feature for our data table if this helps.is this a known bug?Thanks,Aviad

I would like to understand if it is possible to use derived properties to essentially calculate the amount of time between specific events -- without needing to touch the code. I understand that it is possible to create a duration property as discussed here, however the implementation for this would be complex. Is there a simpler way to accomplish that, or something similar, with derived properties?To be more specific, I am primarily interested in looking at users who have a session length of greater than some number of minutes (3, 5, 15, for example), which is specific to how I expect users to navigate through the product.

I used to be able to charts segmented on user properties. For the past year this feature seems to be broken.Reproduction steps:Create a user property called test with values either a or b assigned to all new users Create a chart on amplitude with first open and conversion event Segment on users with the property test 99% of users will have a property value of [none] even though every user should have a property value making the chart uselessHow I know this is a bug:Segment on users with test value equal to [none] Select the activation event > select a random user > check the test prop > has a value every timeHere is a video where you can see exactly that:

Hello all,I’m a founder of a company that acts as a source of data for quantitative and qualitative data (events + survey responses).We would like to start investigating how our users can pipe data to amplitude. We accept the Amplitude API key and plan to use that to pipe the data off to Amplitude.How are other integration partners building this logic? Are they using your SDKs or are they using the API? Are they batching the events and sending them off or do they call the API every time they receive an event?What is your recommended way for building these integrations?

Hey all,Currently having issue troubleshooting GTM. I’ve recently taken over the amplitude & GTM integration for our product (prev guy is unhelpful), but I’m having trouble getting new events into Amplitude. We’re currently using this method: https://github.com/amplitude/GTM-Web-Demo to configure inside GTM but it doesn’t seem to be sending to amplitude. The events are firing when I use the GTM debugger, but it doesn’t seem to reach amplitude. There are also existing events inside GTM that are not being sent, and these are not under the Govern blocked or hidden tab in Amplitude. Can anyone point me in the right direction?  

Hi, I am on the free tier for now as my user base is < 200 people (just launched).I have found the session length reports and they are great, same for the daily active devices.My question is: is there a way to create a chart that tracks the number of users per day that used my app for more than say, 5 minutes? So DAU with a qualifier of session length > 5 minutes

We use both the HTTP v1 api and the JS library to log events in amplitude. Since Aug 4th 2022, the events logged via the HTTP v1 api are no longer showing up anywhere in amplitude analytics web ui. The events logged via the JS library are still showing up as expected.I know the http v1 api is deprecated but did anything change on Aug 3rd 2022 that would cause this? We are still getting normal success responses from the API when we log the events. But they just don’t show up in analytics. 

Hi,  I would like to know if there is a capability to update user_id of existing events posted to Amplitude and remap the events to the new user_id.We are having a need to remap our organizations primary user identifier and would like to know how we can achieve this for 1 customer vs all. I already tried using Identity API but i just keep getting the error “missing_event” {    "api_key": "…..",    "identification": [        {            "user_id": "…...",            "user_properties": {                "user_id": "……."            }        }    ]} Any input will be appreciated

If event sent anonymous (via http curl) can we later set a session id ? as session id for ( via http events ) are -1 by default 

I’m aware that you can send the amp_user_id field to SendGrid, to identify a user that’s engaging w/ an email with an ID other than the email, but I want to send other event properties through the SendGrid event that gets sent to Amplitude via the integration. I can’t seem to find any documentation on Amplitude or SendGrid that mentions if you can add on custom  event properties in addition to the ones that are generated by SendGrid automatically. Can you just send it via the `custom_args` listed in the SendGrid docs here https://docs.sendgrid.com/for-developers/tracking-events/event#event-objects and Amplitude will recognize it?

I’m hoping to learn the best way to set up Amplitude Releases for our React webapp. I’m confused by some of the documentation on what the best practices is for instrumenting Releases to be fully automated. This documentation describes how to use the API and make it part of our deploy process, and seems like the best way to automate with a single source of truth for our app version. This documentation describes the integration as setting the release version as a user property in client side code. Seems okay, but then we’d have to track release versions separately in our codebase, and would require developers to be on top of updating the versioning. I’m wondering if anyone can share learnings on how they instrumented the Releases integration and any insights along the way. Hello guys, I'm kinda noob here on Amplitude and maybe you guys could help me out. When I create a funnel and put some events, I go into "See user paths"… But many paths are duplicated or even the same. For example:1st event: Hello2nd event: Hello3nd event: Hello I don't know if I'm asking a dumb question but I'm getting really frustrated with this… and my tech team doesn't know what's going on because they don't know Amplitude. Can someone help me? 

Hey team,  I am writing because we have detected some Amplitude events containing none value in their properties. The event we are analysing is page view and the specific property is context.page.url or context.page.nameFirst of all, we are seeing "none" values represent 90% of all the page views currently. I mean, these "none" values are not coming from the past or previously the event was created, as we can see in this documentation: We have downloaded a data base with users with page view events with none value on the context.page.url or context.page.nameçBut, when we perform the event and check the user look up, the value of context.page.url or context.page.name is populated without problems. Do you know why this is happening to us?

I’m trying to import events via parquet files on s3. Trying to keep thing super simple but still having issues:Should I be able to see a preview here? Hello,Given Google’s new Data Safety requirements, is there a guide for this specifically for apps using Amplitude?I’ve had to go over the existing docs carefully and I think I know what I have to “tick” for the data Amplitude collects, but it would be great to be 100% certain about my choices.RevenueCat has a guide here: https://docs.revenuecat.com/docs/google-plays-data-safety which I found really helpful. if the event is sent with no userid and later(for further events) we want to set userid for that event  can we do that..?
