I want to view daily metrics grouped by a particular property. The stacked bar shows this fine but it is hard to read.The idea chart for this use case would be Grouped Horizontal Bar Chart but I am unable to find the option. I'm using the session replay wrapper for Segment https://amplitude.com/docs/session-replay/session-replay-wrapper-for-segmentI have an amplitude actions destination setup in Segment and it's connected to my source. When I run it locally I can view my session replays in Amplitude together with my events and everything looks fine.But when deployed I just receive a recording of a white screen. API keys and everything is the same. Hi, I'd appreciate your help.I'm using a data table to build a funnel dashboard. I chose to use a data table because it combines different events from different users that form a single funnel. Unfortunately, I'm currently exporting the data to Excel and working on it manually because I haven't been able to do the following within the product:Visually highlight (e.g., different color) columns that meet certain conditions (i.e. columns which aren't include value, "-"). Create additional columns that are mathematical calculations based on other columns.Are these options available, and could you assist me?Many thanks, Osnat

I have a report where there are two group bys. This creates a lot of noise in the report, I want to show only rows where the value in column x is greater than a certain threshold.   There are other situations where this would also be very helpful. I haven’t seen any way to do this. As far as I’m aware, most event visualization tools have some functionality similar to this.

Hi team,We have following queries regarding amplitude event counts:There is difference in amplitude monthly events shown on project page vs events counts extracted in a dashboard created on amplitude.   What all events I can expect to be missing from amplitude, for our use case, we have been missing few events from amplitude that have actually been clicked by the users {we can have two sources of data(amplitude and backend db) and there’s a mismatch, where amplitude data is lesser than original}Regards,Anil

Hi all.My team has exceeding the Event properties limit in our account and no new properties which are being added are getting fired.We have identified a few events which can be deleted that will bring us back down in the properties limit.I just wanted to know if we delete the identified events and their properties, how soon will they be reflected in the account and what can be the easiest fastest way to start tracking again.We are using a free account, should we create a new project or will deleting the events help?

Seems very odd that a platform as advanced and expensive as Amplitude doesn’t seem able to look back more than 30 days in the cohort population over time. Is there no way around this? Please don’t answer with In cohorts you can look at a max of 365 days(one year). This is absolutely not the answer i’m looking for! I quite simply want to see our active user number from September but cannot find a way to do so… I can only see cohort population for the past 30 days and there appears to be no way around this nor any chart that helps with this (presumably) very simple task. I might also add, the lack of proper customer support (no phone number, no email, no chatbot) is pretty appalling for a company that’s raised $300m!

Hello Data Enthusiasts, I want to understand on how to make a choice between creating a new project versus using an existing project if we are rolling out a new product.We may reuse a lot of events from the existing product(A) into the new product (lets call it B) (sometimes the new product may trigger these events at different points though)We will also have some events that are mutually exclusive for the B and not applicable to A and vice versa.If we were to add a event property that says source= A or B and attach it to all events i in the current project, we could differentiate the usages and triggers of these 2 products.Also, B could still benefit from a few insights on usages from A that sends events to the existing project.Is there any disadvantages to consider if we continue using the same project for the new product B?Thanks in advance for all your inputs.

We have sales people who can use a link to do things on behalf of a customer.  When they do that, their data gets merged with the real customer session.  Is there a way to say that certain people’s amplitude IDs are never merged?  It makes tracking real users really difficult.

Hello,Anyone managed to get the Google Ads Events and Users destination to work?It’s been two weeks of back and forth exchange with Google to obtain a Google Ads API key, to finally receive this:​​​​ Here’s why I need to get this integration working:I have been reporting conversion to Google Analytics (including the session_id and gclid) Unfortunately, while this works great to report conversion to Google Analytics, they are somehow ignore by Google Adwords automatic synchronisation with Google Analytics. It seems that reporting conversions using the gclid through the Google Adwords Events and Users destination is the only way.  Would love help here… Reporting conversion has never been so hard! 

Hi, Has anyone gotten the Google Ads (Event Stream) to work? My clients are not able to obtain a Google Ads Developer Token for the Amplitude destination. This is the response by Google:We are unable to grant your request for a developer token to be used with a third-party tool that you do not manage. This is a violation of the Google Ads API Policies, and is not a permissible use case for API access.A developer token is a means to enable your application to connect to the Google Ads API. This token must belong to and be managed by the developer responsible for building and maintaining the codebase of the app.You should not share your developer token with another entity whose codebase you don't manage. I am trying to set up amplitude, I added amplitude ios sdk to my project, but I can't proceed and stucked on screen with "Set up amplitude". I see "Listening" for “Verify your installation in realtime”, but events don’t come. Hi,I’m trying to connect Segment as a Source, but something is not working and the UI isn’t making it clear as to what the issue is. I’ve correctly copied over the API keys and Secret. Sent test events. But the next button in Amplitude won’t advance.

I’m trying to validate my experiment’s setup by making sure an exposure event is being sent each time experiment.variant() is being called. I see that it sends through the first call, but subsequent calls do not send an $exposure event. Is this the expected behaviour?On the other hand, I see that flags that are feature flags (instead of experiment flags) are able to send $exposure events every time.Could I be missing something here?

Hi, I would like to set up Amplitude so that when users view a page in my web app, I automatically set user properties (for things like user’s plan name, company name, etc.) before the pageview event is fired. That way, those user properties are passed along with the pageview event.I’m using Google Tag Manager to fire my Amplitude tags and I’m using the Amplitude Analytics Browser SDK tag template to configure the tags. I am currently using the “Initialize” tag type which comes with an option to enable default tracking (for page views, etc.) This seems to work well in terms of tracking pageviews. However, there is no option to set user properties through this tag type.The Amplitude tag template DOES have another tag type called “identify” which is specifically intended for setting user properties. I tried adding this tag. However, since the “initialize” tag both initializes Amplitude AND sends pageview events, it means that I’m unable to set the user properties before the first pagevie

So in this example I have 2 names created after clicking “Add Source” and setting up a second HTTP API sourceBut after clicking into both of them, the contents of the setup instruction for both sources are the exact same. Going into the documentation for the HTTP V2 API doesn’t give me an answer on how to have the caller of the api differentiate between which source to go into either. Is it the plan.source? This leads me to believe that as long as I call the api endpoint with the api key, regardless of whether I’m sending the event data from a terminal, or from a server, or somewhere else entirely, as long as I’m making an http call it will all be grouped together under the same “source”.So why even bother setting multiple sources up in the same library if there’s no difference between them and thus no way for me to explicitly declare which source I want to hit? EDIT: Ok after some light testing it seems that it was indeed plan.source that will help us differentiate between the two. We're seeing an "Environments" menu item in the amplitude help docs but we aren’t seeing the “Environments” menu item in our Amplitude data dashboard. Hi, I’m trying to create a data table that shows the breakdown of 4 different segments in a cohort of 1,000 users. I’m grouping it by `initial_utm_medium`, but the first event (SMS sent) is returning (None) for all users, regardless of whether they later visited the site and got assigned a utm_medium or not.Is it possible to group by something that was set later in the user journey? It would be helpful to be able to filter in this way.
