I am attempting to segment a funnel chart by user properties. I see in the FAQ page that user properties are only applied to the first event in the funnel. In my case, the first event in the funnel is user sign up, so the property I want to segment doesn’t exist yet.
One way I tried to combat this is by adding a segment of users who performed “Any active event” with the property:
To validate this, I added a segment of users who performed “Any event” without any properties filtered out. In this image, I would think segment 1 and segment 2 would be identical (since all users who go through the funnel should have performed an event within 1 day of first use?)
Why are these two segments different?
