Track performance with MetricsAmplitude has always given teams the ability to dig into performance, but what if you didn’t need to build a chart to track and understand your most important KPIs?With Metrics, users have new ways to explore and understand performance across the entire Amplitude Platform! With this initial release, we're introducing:A new metrics library, where users can see all of their organizations' key metrics (including those that have been marked "official") The ability to set "key properties" on each metric, enabling quick exploration when trying to understand the impact Robust metadata around where & how each metric is used across the Amplitude platform, including which experiments successfully moved the metric Detailed version history of each metric's definition Integrated analytics-to-experiment workflows, making it easy to launch web or feature experiments to move a metric in the right direction And, a whole lot more! This is just the beginning of our mission to up-level metrics across the platform–watch this space for more exciting Metrics updates!🔒 Access this feature via the left navigation.⭐️ ️Availability: This feature is available to all plans. Starter and Plus customers get access to out-of-the-box metrics. Growth and Enterprise customers can build custom metrics. Analyze Entry and Exit Session dataUnderstanding user behavior at critical session moments—entry and exit— empowers teams to optimize user journeys, refine their engagement tactics, and improve retention. To help you dig into those moments, we’re introducing Entry / Exit Analysis, a new feature that offers deeper insights into user behavior by identifying key touchpoints at the beginning and end of sessions. Entry / Exit analysis supports the following metric types:Uniques: The count of unique users Event totals: The total number of events Session totals: The total count of sessions PROPSUM: The sum of a group-by property valueLearn more about Entry/Exit Analysis.🔓 Access by selecting the Options menu in a column and choosing Enable Entry/Exit Analysis.⭐ ️Availability: This feature is available on all Amplitude plans. Dual Y-Axis Support now available for Segmentation ChartsYou asked and we listened! Segmentation charts in Amplitude now offer dual Y-axis functionality. This update allows users to compare metrics on different scales, empowering you to…Analyze multiple metrics with different value ranges within a single visualization Plot high-volume metrics alongside smaller-scale metrics (ex: page views vs conversion rates) Maintain visual clarity with separate left and right axes Easily identify correlations between disparate metrics🔓 Access this feature via event segmentation.⭐ ️Availability: This feature is available for all customers. Unified Journeys are now generally availableGoodbye tool-switching! Our latest update combines the best of Pathfinder, Pathfinder Users, and Legacy Journeys into a single, streamlined visualization tool. The new, unified Journeys chart offers one entry point for all path analysis needs, while maintaining the feature capabilities from all three previous visualizations. With the new chart, users can enjoy improvements to their analytics workflow, including:Direct comparison between Funnel drop-offs and actual user behavior Consistent, 1:1 results between different analysis types Improved discoverability of path insightsLearn how to gain deeper insights into your users' paths with less effort than ever before. 🔓 Access this feature via journey chart.⭐ ️Availability: This feature is available to all customers. View Funnel conversions in Data TablesGood news! Users can now view and analyze step-by-step conversion metrics within Data Tables. This feature provides more detailed insights into user behavior, including both user count and conversion rates at each step of the funnel. In addition to offering more complex analyses, this feature also increases the consistency between hubs and Data Tables by re-enabling the “open as chart” function on conversion hub pages, and enabling the step analyses in the “Chart in Data-Tables” feature. 🔓 Access this feature via Data Tables, click the gear icon on the table header, then select any “Show conversion steps” options.⭐ ️Availability: This feature is available to all customers. Apply Global Filters in Data TablesPreviously, Amplitude Data tables only supported column-level filtering, requiring users to manually apply the same filter multiple times when filtering across different columns. With our latest update, you can now apply, update, and remove filters globally across all columns with a single action. 🔓 Access this feature via Marketing Analytics -> Page Engagement -> Page URL.⭐ ️Availability: This feature is available to all customers. New Session Replay releasesIntegrate Session Replay into your digital analytics to get real-time, qualitative insights. Diagnose issues, refine experiences, and take action - without context switching. Analytics meets action, faster than ever. Now introducing: HeatmapsHot hot hot! Amplitude’s newest Heatmapping feature builds on the Session Replay tools you love, and now offers a visual, macro-level view of user engagement. New Data & Activation releasesGet trusted data to power insight about your product. Amplitude helps you proactively manage and govern your data. Braze Cohort Sync now offers Multi-key SupportAmplitude now supports multiple targets for Braze cohort sync. Previously, you could only choose 1 of 3 properties to map to during set-up. This was not optimal as not all users in the cohort would sync to Braze (for example, anonymous users). Now, you can choose several ways to map your users to Braze for a given cohort as well as perform multiple syncs for different user properties.Learn more about the Braze Cohort Sync.🔓 Access this feature via the destinations page or in the catalog, under Braze cohort sync.⭐ ️Availability: This feature is available to all customers. Time-to-Live data retention for Projects and OrgsWe're excited to announce a powerful new data retention feature: Time-to-Live (TTL). This feature gives users control over how long event data is retained in their Amplitude instance. With TTL, you can set a custom retention period at the project OR organization level, ensuring only relevant data is stored to manage compliance. Once TTL is enabled, Amplitude will automatically delete event data older than your specified retention period.Learn more about Amplitude Data's Time-to-Live (TTL).🔓 Access this feature via org settings.⭐ ️Availability: This feature is available to admins on Growth & Enterprise plans. Enjoy API Key RotationGoodbye support wait times! We're excited to announce that users can now manage their Amplitude API and secret keys directly from the UI. With this update, you can now create, name, and revoke keys with full visibility and control, and rest easy knowing all changes have been logged for security.Secret keys can be rotated as needed (with admin approval), giving you even more flexibility and peace of mind. Note: Secret keys are shown once at creation, so be sure to store them safely.Learn more about managing your API keys and secret keys.🔓 Access this feature via org settings.⭐ ️Availability: This feature is available to admins on Growth & Enterprise plans. Trigger a Campaign as User Enters/Exist a Cohort using WebhookThe Cohort Sync Webhook is expanding! With our latest update, users can now trigger campaigns in tools like Braze whenever a user enters or exits a cohort. Whereas previously the Webhook only forwarded user IDs, the integration now supports up to 50 user properties alongside the user ID to personalize campaigns and enrich downstream data. Bonus points? Users can select which properties to include through a new self-serve UI and reference them directly in their templates. Learn more about Cohort Webhooks.🔓 Access this feature via the “Webhook” tile in the integration catalog under Data.⭐ ️Availability: This feature is available to all customers.Select User Properties for CSV DownloadGoodbye giant files! With our latest feature, you can download a CVS that displays the exact user properties you want to see, and nothing more. This feature allows for faster downloads due to smaller file sizes, quicker insights to targeted user properties (instead of scrolling for days), and more use cases for the preview table that already exists on the cohort details page. Happy downloading!🔓 Access this feature via the "Export CSV" button in the cohorts toolbar within the cohorts details page. Multi-event Table Support for Warehouse NativeReady to hit the ground running with analysis? As of this month, Amplitude now allows users to create multiple data models (one per event) from a multi-event table. In addition to our DBT and YAML-based bulk model management, this feature empowers users to quickly spin up multiple data models from their multi-event table so they can start making charts sooner!🔓 Access this feature when creating any data models from the UI.⭐ ️Availability: This feature is available for all Warehouse Native customers.
