Transfer data from one organization to another

Hi,

We are early-stage startup and have been using amplitude on a free plan for a year. We created an organization for that and using it.

At the moment I’m enrolling in to Amplitude Startup Scholarship and so I had to create a new organization.

I’m just curious could I somehow fill up my new organization with data from previous organization. Or in other words, is anyway there to transfer data from one organization to another?

Thanks

Easiest solution would be to contact Amplitude support and ask them to do the data transfer, but it’s likely to come with a cost.

Depending on the amount of data, you could also consider:

  1. Exporting the data by using Export API: https://developers.amplitude.com/docs/export-api
  2. Then importing it with Batch API: https://developers.amplitude.com/docs/batch-event-upload-api

Hi Alex,

I am from Amplitude Support I would suggest Self Backfilling the historical data the way Mikko recommend using Export API and Batch API. We also have this doc here for more tips to backfill the data:

https://developers.amplitude.com/docs/self-data-backfill-guide
