Hi everyone! My name is Archana and I’m a Learning Experience Designer on the Customer Education team here at Amplitude. Are you getting started with the Amplitude Data (BETA) experience? You’re in luck! We have a brand new course in the Amplitude Academy designed to get you familiar with the Data UI and teach you how to plan, implement, and maintain your analytics tracking.Create an Amplitude Academy account to access the course here: Getting Started with Amplitude Data [On-demand course]Have questions? Amplitude’s data management features are going through some exciting changes! We’re consolidating Iteratively’s data planning capabilities with Amplitude event and property management features into one central hub, with a brand new user interface. What does this mean for you? All of the data management that you did in Govern—things like blocking and deleting an event/property, changing the visibility status or activity status for an event/property, or creating custom events—will now be done in the new data management hub Data (Beta.) You’ll also be able to set up a workspace for your project and use the Tracking Plan feature to plan changes to your schema, set taxonomy rules, solicit feedback and reviews from your team. Here, you’ll also be able to view your event metadata and be alerted of schema violations. Example of adding events to your tracking plan: To learn more, check out the following docs: Amplitude Academy Course - Data(Beta) Iteratively Blog - How to make event trackin
Hi Amplitude community, So we pushed both user_id and device_id on our Amplitude. In Event Segmentation, I know that the current unique users is counted based on user_id (if exist).I wonder is there is a way to show the number unique devices (always based on device_id), instead of unique users in Event Segmentation? Here is the visual setting: Thanks!
We released the built last month and most of the users are from Pakistan and no one in the can access the app since it’s just released for Pakistan. Yet, while I extracted the data from Amplitude it was pointing towards the US and especially towards Palo Alto and San Francisco, Oakland is their any specific reason
Let’s say I have a Cohord ID = ‘rrsn6f2’, Instead of exporting the CSV file manually and then remove all the unused columns and keep only 1 column, the ‘user_id’ column which is a custom user property to include our own system’s user_id, I mean to do that job automatically by using Amp API. Is it feasible? Thank you.
I’m currently implementing Amplitude into my project using the Ampli CLI and have gotten to a point where everything should be set up and ready to emit metrics. However, when I called one of the methods to emit a metric I don’t see any data on the Amplitude Data site for my project. For example, if I have a metric called “Page Viewed” and in my code I run the method ampli.pageViewed(params), after running that method I check on the Amplitude Data website and see that nothing has changed. In addition, when I try to log the event I get the following CORS message if that relates to this problem:Cross-Origin Request Blocked: The Same Origin Policy disallows reading the remote resource at https://api.amplitude.com/. (Reason: CORS request did not succeed). Status code: (null). Any help would be appreciated!
On the Amplitude Data page, when I’m on a project I can go to settings and set a production and development environment. But it’s confusing when I select the dropdown because it seems like each environment can correspond to one project but having multiple projects means you can specify environments for each project. So my question is:How am I actually supposed to use the environments section to specify a specific production environment and testing environment? If I want to specify a testing environment and a production environment am I supposed to create two separate projects? And yes I have read the following article but I am still confused.https://help.amplitude.com/hc/en-us/articles/5078848559259-Configure-and-manage-your-Amplitude-Data-settings
Hi folks,It appears there’s a bug in Data (Beta) that prevents me (an Admin) from creating “Custom Events”. Screen shot below. Can this bug be urgently rectified?I can understand transitioning the Govern screen to the Data product, but if there are some material bugs, a forced transition may be a bit premature.
Using the new "Data" product in Amplitude, how do you make an event "Inactive" after it's been deleted
I’ve just been forced into using Amplitude Data, as all the Govern settings have moved there. In the process, I deleted some events which shouldn’t have been flowing.Unfortunately. one of those events was marked as “Active” so showed up in all my “Any Active Events” charts. When I go back into “Data” to find it and mark it as “Inactive”, it’s not coming up in the list. I’ve also tried Creating the event again, but to no avail. How can I make the event as Inactive?
Hello!Recently, my developers and I ran into one important problem. We cannot view events in the Data (ex. govern) section and, in particular, build charts and graphs in the control panel. But at the same time, these events are successfully displayed in the User Look-Up.What can I do?Thank you in advance!
Hey, I am trying to find the average session length by user. I know this is possible on a chart but using the endpoint: GET https://amplitude.com/api/3/chart/CHART_ID_HERE/queryOnly returns 1000 user ids. Another way would be to use the user activity endpoint but this would be a long process. I essentially want the following endpoint:GET https://amplitude.com/api/2/sessions/peruserBut with the ability to group by cohort, property or those who have performed a particular event.
The Ampli CLI, Ampli SDK, and Amplitude SDK work together to bring a tracking library into your project.Developers use a Tracking Plan in the form of a type-safe autogenerated code.Iteratively can generate a tracking library for all popular platforms and programming languages. The autogenerated library, the Ampli SDK, is a lightweight wrapper over the Amplitude SDK that provides type-safety, supports linting, and enables features like input validation. The code replicates the spec in the Tracking Plan and enforces its rules and requirements. :::noteVisit the ampli-examples GitHub repo for example applications that use the Ampli SDK.::: Ampli CLI The Ampli CLI is how you download the Ampli SDK for your current tracking plan ampli pull.Verify implementation status of event tracking in your project by using ampli status. Ampli SDK The Ampli SDK is a dynamic, code-generated SDK. It contains strong types for the events in your tracking plan, and provides autocomplete and static type checkin
